Why didn't he enter the water using a diving tube? It's so stupid, it's obvious you can't hold your breath for that long... Okay, this is a movie, it needs excitement, but it also needs logic.

Its becoz the pool he dived into has special sensors which can actually detect any kind of metal elements fir which it was impossible to take any type of additional equipments to the pool, atleast watch the movie before u speak

As far as I remember, the water gate has metal detector. So they had no choice but to swim without diving tube or any other diving tool. (Maybe there is a oxygen tank made of plastic in the world but this is a movie as you said.)
