Hey thanks for this! I also noticed the analyze files button wasn’t showing. I did a quick google search, and learned the controller has to be disconnected. But do you know why it does this (turns yellow)? I have DJ lite right now, and plan on upgrading to Pro.

Yellow on MacOS means it’s accessing your microphone

my mp3 directory is on the laptop's desktop, I can't find the path when I select "files". How do I get to the desktop using Serato?

Can someone help me out here, i downloaded the serato dj lite, connected it to the hardware and when I press files to browse my music, nothing happens, not able to bring up my music

i removed a few songs from the crate, how do i get them back? i didn't DELETE THE FILE OR THE CRATE all i did was REMOVE A FEW SONGS FROM THE CRATE.

All my library is there but when I select tracks they all go yellow and won't play they was working before I dont get it searto is starting to piss me off

How do you reload tracks??

I just bought a new external hard drive because the music and data that I stored in a previous USB flash drive just disappeared. Long story short I took the flash drive to a computer shop and retrieved the data and now I’m transferring it onto a new 1 TB external hard drive. The thing is, upon transitioning, I’ve lost my crates. Is there a way to restore my crates in the way I had them before the data crashed? I really don’t want to have create new crates if there’s a way to retrieve the original crates. Please help. Thanks 🙏 Peace ☮️

Your crates were in the _Serato_ and Serato backup folders that were on your flash drive. locate those and copy them to the same directory where your music is and Serato should read them. Good luck and let me know if that works!

i have a macbookpro m1 chip i use 4tb hard to transfer my music the problem is some of my music was retrieve when i use relocate lost files.....how can i get back all my music??

Hey got a question. My serato isn’t loading my crates from my external hard drive . It say music library complete after reading hard drive but no music . It was used about 2yrs ago worked fine.

Click on "File" and find your new(old) music library. Drag that entire top level folder of where your music is and drop it over the "all music" in the left column. It should start scanning

Mines did the same none of my crates show and o went and did exactly just that but when I exited out of serato and went back to see if my crates would load again it didn’t. Is there a way I can have the serato just read my hard drive like it did and not have to keep dragging the files every time?

Make sure your controller isn’t connected. Go to your Folder that has all your music in it and click/drag it over “Analyze Files” and release click. This can take hours if you have over 1TB of music and your processor is older.

When I load a song it doesnt reappear like in your video

Thanks for the vid if you have a large library it’s going to be a pain I found and old script that will do that in seconds for you maybe this could help you and others it’s a script for serato itch even thought it’s discontinued but works very well thanks again and hope everybody’s safe

Smart crates you have to look in your _Serato_ and _Serato Backup_ folders for or recreate them.

Is it ok to delete these files?

This is so confusing got a subscription from BPM Supreme and know most of them is showing up with question marks trying to drag the download folder to Analyze Files and it’s not doing anything

@@DJShellingz relocate lost files searches for the exact file where it’s supposed to be located which isn’t helpful if it gets renamed or somehow updated/moved etc. this way rescans everything and no worry about relocating

@@mjoseph001 if Serato thinks you already analyzed them all you have to grab the actual music folder from the “files” tab over the analyze button to analyze them all. Be warned this can take a LONG time if you have a lot of music. 700GB took 6 days
