Hi Dani, very interesting video! you gave me a good idea of how it is to be there at Miss USA or Miss Universe, I guess it is the same process. I am glad you made it to the Miss USA stage I know you have been working on that for a while. I would to tell us how is backstage after they make the cut, 15, 10, 5, etc, is there really a lot of crying and drama?

Thanks for checking it out! There were a few tears. But there was also a sense of relaxation. Everyone could breath again since they were no longer being judged. We all sat together and watched the remainder of the finale, rooting for our friends

Love this video and your channel so much! As a girl that just entered her very first pageant you have been a huge help and I’ve been binge watching your videos! I was wondering what the typical clothing/ pant sizes they have for you to choose from at miss USA? Also, do you think there’s a most common size for pageant titleholders to be? Thanks!! :)

Thank you!! :) I'm so glad it's helped you. Before you go to Miss USA they ask for your measurements and sizes. When we arrive they've guessed what clothes will fit us. If they don't fit, there's an alterations department that fixes the pieces. I had my swimsuit and opening number dresses fixed. They also had shoe hole punches for our sponsored heels. That's how they fixed our shoe ankle straps that were too big.

Great info. You are truly a great communicater & inspiration! 💐 PS I'm 61 & thinking of dipping my toe in the water either acquiring a title or an online photo pageant.

Thank you! I competed for 7 years. I have too many favs lol. I've gotten to know the women and they're friends. That'd be like choosing a favorite child.

Can you share more about the close door interviews for the prelims? I know you already shared a video about that but maybe something more specific? Also, are you planning on doing a recap like what you usually do after a pageant as a viewer? That would be really weird though as you are friends with probably all of them.

Hahaha that's funny you asked that. I remember that we could not be photographed eating. MUO was very specific about that. I believe that we also were not allowed to chew gum in public. That may even be on my titleholder contract. Just to be safe, I never chew gum with a crown and sash on, it's not the cutest look for a queen. We stick to breath mints, drinking lots of water, or those breath strips.

If they have 51 girls coming why don’t they just get all your shoe and dress sizes etc instead of having a bunch that may or may not fit and extras etc it just sounds like a waste and irritating for the girls that have to deal with what’s left after they run out

They do get our sizes ahead of time but not everyone knows all their measurements or sizes in the pageants sponsored brands. They do their best to bring in a variety of pieces and use the sizes we send them ahead of time to plan for how many they will need.

I have no problem with Paula being political, or even MUO for that matter. What I don't like is when they don't accept diversity of thought and political views. If you're remotely right leaning or even just center left and vocal about it, you might as well kiss that crown goodbye. Since IMG took over, the only diversity MUO really wants is PHYSICAL diversity, meaning race (Hello Miss Japan 2015) or body type (Hello Miss Canada 2016), and now, gender (Hello Miss Spain 2018). Let's not forget about last year where MUO's version of "equality" (really, it's EQUITY) where they chose finalists based on continents which really screwed a lot of deserving girls over. It's not enough for them to discard intellectual or political diversity. They have to shove their far left ideology down everyone else's throats. It's also pretty hypocritical for them to say they're all about diversity but when the first MU-outside-of-the-US edition under IMG was brought to the Philippines, there was no semblance of Philippine culture on stage. Very unlike previous pageants where the host country is really highlighted. Private Philippine sponsors paid HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF PESOS to host and entertain the candidates and MUO just kept showing the same 2 videos during commercial breaks. The candidates were split into groups and flown on PRIVATE JETS to different parts of the Philippines to boost tourism but all you see is a group of them hanging around a yacht or stepping into the private jet. Hope they won't make the same mistake in Thailand. I have to admit, MU under Trump was waaaaaaay better.
