I love Naomi Campbell, but how she cut Miss Greece when the delegate tried to speak and finish her answer is off -on the other hand, Miss PR, despite of having consumed the alloted time to answer the question, was obviously favored to take up more seconds to answer. If you would observe it in detail, particularly in the Q&A portion, then you would know. Nevertheless, it's been part of history and we could say that Denise did an amazing job as Miss Universe. I just want to make it clear that I am a big fan of Naomi Campbell ❤️

Fierce competition here between Greece, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela! All three looked gorgeous and did a spectacular job on stage. That should've been the top 3 and the crown could have been split into three. I don't see one superior to the other, they were the best with their own unique qualities. Greece had the best Swimsuit, Puerto Rico the best evening gown, and Venezuela the best total look.

Russias Gown Was A Repeat from Ms Russia in 1997 Venezula Beautifil R.I.P France looks loke she broke her right arm ?!

Only commenting on the gowns Spain- stunning and unique gown. Very European. Style is simple and she carries it well. Venezuela- gown colour is stunning. Contrasting. Under spotlight, it glows. She carries it well. Nigeria- nice red body hugging gown. Wish a bit more stones on the gown than the heavy diamond necklace. She carries it well. Israel- gown is a bit of a let down. Compare to the others , a bit boring. Her hair tied back probably cost her too. Greece- best gown of the bunch. Pink colour is gorgeous. It is hard to wear this gown considering the skirt flares out from waistline but she works the gown well. India- gown is pretty but she didn’t carry it well. Shouldn’t touch the gown too much. Obviously the gown is wearing her. Russia- gown is ok. The bust part doesn’t accentuate her body. Should have opt for a bit more less revealing gown. USA- gown is ok. Nothing exciting. She carries it well though. Colour is unique though. France- the scandal hurts her. The gown is not a great choice. Makes her body look too heavy. And too much jewellery in the neck. Distracting the gown. Puerto Rico-gown is nice and very elegant looking. She carries it well. Colour is also good for her skin tone.

Esa pasarela, elegancia, rostro, estatura, cuerpo, ufff Bellísima Puerto Rico es bella, si, pero Denisse Quiñónez ganó gracias a q dentro del jurado había puertorriqueños q le dieron puntajes súper altos q nada q ver. En traje de baño esos mismos jueces como Marc Anthony le dieron puntajes bajísimos a Grecia. Cuando se nota por encima q Grecia tenie un cuerpazo Pura tramoya Grecia es sin duda la miss universo y real y justa ganadora

As much as I like Puerto Rico, I liked Greece’s walk and look more. Unfortunate that she didn’t win.. the winners from the early 2000s were all strong in stage performance. I think Greece would’ve won had she competed in 1999, 2003, maybe 1998.

Only in 98 but not in 99 and 2003. Hey, that's Amelia Vega. Hard to beat her. Ms. Dominican Republic was so well prepared for the crown in her year. I highly doubt. Possibly if age assumed equal Evelina can defeat Pia of 2015.

@@lilytsui3015 I highly doubt. Mpule Gwelagobe is the most accomplished Ms. Universe winner. At best they can have identical scores in the swimsuit and evening gown. Ms. Botswana was fit during her year and she had the previous advantage of competing in Ms. World prior to Ms. Universe. I also watched clips about the designer of her gown which was well done I must say that flattered her features. In terms of Q&A again here Botswana being a former British colony made English as their official language along with the local one so your arguement is nothing but a pigment of your wild imagination. Evelina was really good but she's not the best either. Your 2016 Ms. France & 2017 Ms. South Africa are nothing but another bluffs. Evelina can't outmatch Demi-Leigh especially in the interview round.

En ésta edición las puntuaciones en traje de baño y noche se promediaban, porque las mismas 10 hacían los 2 desfiles, de allí salían las 5

bellas todas, a que loco se le ocurrió pensar que Francia era hombre? que locura buscar pleito donde no hay. La pobre chica tenía el brazo rígido seguramente por contractura muscular debodp al stress a que fue sometida

Puerto Rico was just amazing. Her dress can still be worn today after 20 years .Miss Greece smile was not the best. I was there that night. Greece arraive to Puerto Rico with very short hair, Magaly Febles put her extentions a few days before the final night.

Irónico; en esa pasarela desfilo la Miss World 2001 de Nigeria! Eva (QEPD) Miss Venezuela sencillamente espectacular ! Miss Francia espantoso vestido le hacia parecer que tenia un defecto en el busto ademas desfilo como muy rígida! y finalmente Puerto Rico mas Insípida que un vaso de agua;su vestido muy simple y su pasarela aburrida mas sin embargo fue la que mayor puntaje se llevo!!!

NO se trata de desfilar vestidos. el vestido de Denise era espectacular en su sencillez y lo llevo como una reina1 la abertura en la falda fue el punto focal junto al profundo escote y su pose final de profesional. francia tenia un hombro dislocado.
