After seeing how well Nia competed at MU it's hard to disagree with this decision....but man oh man, ND is gorgeous, and I think she might have done very well also at MU.

My dear Richard, I don't really know if you're mad or glad because of my comment, but there's no need to remind me that the USA is not Venezuela, cuz l think we already know that very well... lt doesn't matter if the new Miss USA Universe is a latina or not, l will always support who l think could do a great job at the Miss Universe Pageant... Erin, the last Miss USA, was absolutely stunning, and she did a great job. In fact l think she deserved to be part of the top 5 finalist... And l also love the new Miss America. When the Miss USA's was stunning

They finally changed the host city after 6 editions stuck in Las Vegas, the scenery was pretty cool and the production improved since the last editions. Sadly, the crowning moment was rushed in general. It was like "Take your crown, flowers and sash, walk a little bit and lets go".

I like this years pageant it was LONG but it was like a party going on. People were having fun Very nice change of pace. can't believe Texas wasn't in the top 20

From the very first moment Miss Nevada, Nia Sanchez walked on stage, I knew right then and there she would become the next Miss USA. Although Miss North Dakota was gorgeous and possessed the traditional Miss USA beauty queen appearance, It was something about Nia Sanchez's femininity, innocence, good looks, graceful demeanor and ouststanding personality that stood out above the other girls. I didn't see a Latina Miss America, I just saw Miss America. Congratuations Nia Sanchez! They chose the right one.

Because it is not bought or controlled by Donald Trump. Donald has now made it almost impossible for a Hispanic to win Miss America. Miss America is about the all American girl who personifies America. Vanessa Williams broke the glass ceiling and paid a high price for decades. Most folk do not have a clue as the threats on her life and family and all the other stuff she had to go through. They eventually took the crown from her of course. In the end, Vanessa became a big star to sort of say "in your face.! A few minority women have won since with the same thing happening to a Native American who won. She too was dethroned. Last year, an Indian (India) American won Miss America. It is very politically correct to have two very none Americans win the two most high profiled contests. Thirty five years ago, an Indian and a Mexican could never represent the USA or America in any way. It is all about politics. These women might not have won, but others would have won down the road if the politics were not involved.

If I'm not wrong Miss Nevada used to work at Original Disneyland Resort before in Anaheim, California. Try to look up Inside the Magic Channel Disney Fantasy Faire Meet and Great she was Aurora.

The last 2 girls, I love them, also their dresses represent Christmas colors!🤣 Viva Las Vegas!!

My mom & I went 2 it!!:)) It was the 1st time 4 both of us 2 like go 2 a major beauty pageant!:) We were like up in the top row of level 3 looking f2f (face 2 face) with the stage. It was still sooo much fun BEING THERE 4 it!!!:)) I got a shit load it pics & videos from it on my smart phone!!:)) I want 2 like go 2 another 1!!:) Btw, we live like way on the other side of town in a Baton Rouge northeast suburb of Greenwell Springs, but I still call it BR.

This pageant was actually really boring. Took an hour to announce a top 20 with annoying commercials during the break. Many girls in the top 20 didn't deserve to make it into the top 20. During the swimsuit competition, many of the girls had horrible body, pose, and walk. The runway sucked. The only portion I liked was the evening gown competition. A lot of people criticized the song because it was sung in Spanish, but I actually liked the beat of the music.

You don't know if they deserved it or not they all had private interviews beforehand to determine the top 20, and this isn't all about looks they also had to have good character too.

North Dakota got 1st runner up at Miss. Teen USA and at Miss. USA last night. :( That has to suck!

People are so stupid. If her name were Nia Smith she would have been considered just a tanned white woman but add Sanchez and she takes on this whole other ethnic identity. Only in the U.S.

I was hoping Miss North Dakota to win so bad. Her answer was alright, not strong enough. She needed to relax and explained a little more in detail. Miss Nevada is gorgeous and she seemed more confident and relaxed when she answered the question. Miss Nevada won, because she is a good role model for women to talk about crimes, sexual harassment, and rapes. I was happy to see Miss Nevada took home the crown ever from her State. North Dakota population is very small and not many beautiful girls there compare to California, Texas, Tennessee, South Carolina, etc.. Miss North Dakota should be proud of herself that she was the first runner up in Miss Teen USA 2011 and Miss USA 2014. I felt very sad for her, she tried her best and worked so hard.

The girl used to go to my high school. I didn't know much about her except she spoke French really well for a girl.

Georgia was down gorgeous and owned that stage. I think she lost it when she tripped on the stage on the last walk. But that crOwn was rightfully hers... she was cheated out of that crown. The fact that the girl looked just like miss USA 2013 was just a bias win to me. If Georgia didn't win iiwas going got Nevada but fr Florida should of been the runner up before her iijust didn't see anything flawless about her. Her dress was stunning! But we seen it before. Anyway they need to stop being bias and get off the white woman representing Miss Usa. Because Miss Georgia was the most beautiful one standing up on that stage last night.

I think that Miss Georgia should have won the crown-i think what happened is that so many people were upset that a girl from India won Miss America even though she was from New York that they didn't want to here all the racist remarks like that did with Miss America which is sad-I think all of the women were very beautiful but for some reason Miss Georgia did stand out especially that evening gown-America is a melting pot and nowdays people just have to accept the fact that the "white girl" is not always going to win-Good Luck Miss Nevada are them were very charming

Probably NOT in Las Vegas now that Miss Nevada has won. LV is always Miss U's back-up site. Negotiations with Fortaleza, Brazil fell through. I have a feeling they might do it in Panama or Miami again.

228candy Brazil hosted the event in 2011, and it was pretty horrible. The stage, the hosts, Jeannie Mai, and the judges. It was a terrifying and horrific year, and was totally forgettable. No country seems keen to host the 2014 event, after a flop in Russia. The stage was awful. How about the Philippines? They will be thrilled, but not too certain if they could afford it. I would love to see the event in the US seriously. They know how to entertain and host beauty pageants. How about Oklahoma, or even Alaska?

America is a melting pot, so it's crazy that people are reacting strongly to a Hispanic queen.
