Yeah, I don't remember her saying that at all. She formally resigned. She later said if they weren't willing to keep her she wasn't going to stay and fight ti MAKE them. She resigned and didn't look back.🌺

Mostly at Penthouse… I mean, fine, you have the pictures… you couldn’t wait until til she crowned the next Miss America? she’s still Miss America, the first black Miss America. And Miss America Inc. I remember watching this Miss America pageant. I knew Vanessa Williams was going to win. She was incredibly gorgeous, charismatic, and talented. I also thought Suzette Charles (the 1st runner up) could possibly win too. Because she was also gorgeous, charismatic, and talented. I had never really watched a Miss America before. And I never watched another one from start to finish; where I was certain that a particular contestant was going to win. I’m glad that Vanessa Williams was able to have a successful singing career, fairly quickly after the scandal. And also to go on and have a successful acting career as well.

Vanessa is just as beautiful as she was when she was voted as miss America. And it's a shame dad. The executives at the networks and at the pageant did what they did to her. We voted for her and we were. Hungarian Polish gorgeous woman, fantastic actress, wonderful singer and a perfect person. And god bless her with her grandbabies and good luck to her in 2024!

I was 13 when she won. I had no idea on the night she won that she was black. She didn't resign, she was fired. I saw the pictures. They were nasty. I still don't understand why she ever let those pictures be taken. It wasn't about her being nude. There were graphic lesbian overtones to the photos.

It was okay for the beloved George Burns to be on the cover of the issue, but people were certainly not okay with her photos. She’s the first mixed person to win and second of all who cares about if you’re the first type of person to win anything. I didn't realize people don't know this. Either way, black people are one thing, and mixed people are another. There is no neee for anyone to choose sides especially if they are 50/50 because biracial is what they are, not black. Mixed can never be black, and never was.
