Un equipo de botánicos de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) y del Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) fueron a la région montanaso de Uxpanapa en la región de Veracruz para buscar especies de la familia de las #Annonaceae. La misión fue liderada por el investigador Dr. Andres Ortiz Rodriguez (UNAM). Estudiante de tesis Maria Fernanda Velarde (UNAM) estudia la #evolución de la falagelifloria en México y en las #Annonaceae, que son inflorescencias espectaculares! Moisés Rangel estudia la #biogeografía de un grande genera neotrópico #Guatteria. Uxpanapa es un lugar con mucha endemicidad, pero muy amenazado.

A team of botanists from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) went to the mountain region of Uxpanapa in the Veracruz region to search for species of the #Annonaceae family. The mission was led by researcher Dr. Andres Ortiz Rodriguez (UNAM). Thesis student Maria Fernanda Velarde (UNAM) studies the #evolution of the falageliflory in Mexico and in the #Annonaceae, which are spectacular inflorescences! Moisés Rangel studies the #biogeography of a large neotropical genus #Guatteria. Uxpanapa is a place with a lot of endemicity, but very threatened.
