  • @__Andrew

    This is what made Craig so awesome, he just sat down and _talked_ with his guests. His bit used to be that he would rip the script up and toss it away before just having an off the cuff conversation with his guest. It really reminded me of more how these sorts of talk shows operate in the UK. Its just a couple of friends joking around and not trying to set up a pre-rehearsed story the actor's agent sent over in an email the week before.

  • @vancedadder

    @vancedadder

    Жыл бұрын

    Was it just a bit or did he really have unscripted conversations with his guests?

  • @__Andrew

    @__Andrew

    Жыл бұрын

    @@vancedadder He really did just have conversations with them. The ripping up the card at the start of a lot of the interviews was sort of a bit, im sure he did read stuff like "new movie XYZ, lives in suchandsuch, won award last year for thisandthat" but the actual talks he had was definitely just conversations. He would of course touch on if they had a new movie to promote, but you can tell in other late night shows the host usually sets the guest up for some story they can tell, Craig didnt really do that. He just talked and had fun. Its 100% worth it to go back and watch some of his old shows. Especially anytime he had a guest on that was a personal friend of his, like Betty White. He was on a very short lived sitcom with Betty in the 90's that started a friendship with them. Betty was on his show like 20 times and i think would sometimes be the guest they would call on short notice to come in if someone dropped out since she was always a riot when on.

And for the low self esteem part, I get it, but people that have a higher self esteem like he does, it's easier for them to make fun of them selves. Shy people tend too worry way too much and don't let go of a fuss that they catch on too. Then they feel judged by others quickly. Craig is an extrovert Genuine man. Martin Dee Wan Oh dang, I wished I had read further down and saw your comment, before posting. It took me awhile to find my back here from seeing this video previously. I actually had also noted it, but I got so caught up in looking at a "ton" of other Jayleno fly videos, that it wan't until this evening I came across this video[again] and wanted to comment, as you have, on it. Have a great day, sir.

    So from 6:42 to 7:28, it is the funniest segment I have EVER seen, and when Craig goes "whoa, whoa, whoa", with his hand out and at the ends asks "so what's your summer been like then", unbelievably funny! I have watched so many Craig Ferguson skits and interviews and they are awesome, he had the best late night talk show ever, in the history of television in my opinion, but I had not seen this part before, I spit out my coffee all over the desk...

    Who ever knows someone out in TV LAND, this performer, Craig Ferguson should be ushered again into his OWN show on HBO, SHOWTIME or NETFLIX. He is a true comic genius that knows how to play an audience and make them hysterical without ALL the coarse, racist political bullshit we hear from the other multi-UNTALENTED hosts on late nite TV. Why can't we get a petition of sorts going...I miss the guy...HE IS FUNNY and THAT is what we need.
