That moment where he asks what’s her kid’s name and then segways away when he realizes she doesn’t want to say his name on air is MASTERFUL. To be able to pick up the social cues, catch that she felt uncomfortable but didn’t want to say anything - and transition away from the question effortlessly. That’s high echelon.

Funny observation I noticed with one in particular... Brit Marling started off in your typical gorgeous Hollywood talk show fit for her first appearance with Craig. But as time wore on (and her undeniable intellect wore on his usual pervy tropes), her second fit was designed (as she said in some form) to not be distracting. She obviously admittedly did underestimate Craig's affinity for a good schoolgirl look but she did attempt to keep the focus on their great conversation. By the third show, she tried to leave nothing for him to work with with the still great plain white dress. And that one finally worked. A quick quip from Craig about the dress and they were off to the races for one of what lots of us longtime Craigyferg fans consider one of his most sincere and least creepy interviews with a guest he's clearly attracted to. And may whatever God bless her for that.

This girl gets it. Ive never seen Craig so relaxed with a guest.

She is HYPNOTIC in every way. When she was retelling her children's book, I was just completely riveted! Even after watching about 4 days worth of these videos, and all the ravishing guests he has on his show, she's still in a league all her own.

I loved Craig Ferguson's show! He was so genuinely funny. The repartee between Craig and Evangeline is so spot on and flowing, it's like it was scripted, but is totally spontaneous. Really fun to watch again.

It’s the vignette called “The log driver’s Waltz”. It is great. I watched it again last year!

One of the best interviews I've ever seen. Both are gods of entertainment.

Man, if I were in a conversation like these with her I would fluster and blush and stammer and melt.

Craig is simultaneously witty, unflappable, switches to concern, engaging and asks just the right questions even when the woman through a zinger at him. Is mind works in perfect counter balance to his female guests , smoothly Perry’s their jabs with humor and humility. He has the art down to a science. I’m not familiar with evangelize but she too is witty , charming, not defensive, seems to genuinely enjoy herself with Krieg . These interviews were pure entertainment and had ten times the humor of most comedies today. Thanks!!

Just do it in daily life! I'm not an obese neck beard but also not Daniel Craig. N I respectfully compliment women's outfits, hair, or when the need arises, just straight up on their beauty, all the time. I never follow it up with anything like asking for a number or date. He got bored. These clips are amazing but there was a lot of filler in between the interviews, if you watched it live you'd see all the ad breaks and topical sections. Maybe he'll land an interviewer job but it would have to be late night or Netflix.

I NEVER comment anything on youtube, but I'm totally and completely IN LOVE with her after seeing this. I watched Lost (the whole thing until the last episode) mainly because of her, but seeing and listeing to her here (specially with Ferguson) made me fall in love. She's the cutest, funniest, most charming and adorable woman ever... and she´s just stuningly beautiful.

As a talk show host, he was the quickest whit, conversation flowed, never upstaged his guests, nor laughs at their expense, nor snide put downs... Johnny was the only other one that did all that... It was a much different show than Johnny's ... but puts him in great company. None of the rest have been close. Miss both of them.

Log driver's Waltz and she is right it is Canadian iconic clip. Once seen it can never be unseen.

Such a shame that this show ended... there has never been anything like it before/after.

Steve Allen. He would crack up and go off script just like Craig.

She's full of life, what an amazing woman.

Having watched these clips back for the first time in about 7 years, I'm quite frankly disturbed by how much of my personality is informed by Craig Fergusson. I can't actually tell whether I know these clips so well, or that his responses to questions have just become mine 🤣

I'm watching this stoned out of my mind, and it's hilarious! That Squicker Walkers story was such a trip. Beautifully told and voiced. I'm gonna sample it and put it in a psychedelic fantasy song!
