Misia 米希亚 - Aitakuteima (I Want To Meet You) Reaction [The most beautiful thing I have heard]

💛 PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION 💛
This video wasn't intended to be so long - But there was a lot to talk about and enjoy with this one. I honestly do not think I have ever heard such a beautiful song in my life. From the arrangement, to how the Japanese lyrics flowed with every movement of this songs melody, Misia sung this so amazingly! I love literally every inch of this song!

To me, this song perfectly expresses the desperate longing, pain and anguish that comes from losing a loved one. Misia was inspired to write the song after visiting a war museum which was showcasing the last letters written between a kamikaze pilot (at the end of WW2 who was ordered to go because the Americans were about to land in Okinawa) and his wife/family. The song is from the wife/girlfriend's perspective. She knows she'll never see him again. But she desperately yearns to see him again, RIGHT NOW! She want to feel his arms around her, she has so much to tell him. She tells of how she would never have let go of his hands when they held hands if she knew it was going to be the last time. She asks if he would be standing beside her now with a smile if she had cried and begged him to stay. She tells of how she sees him everywhere all the time. How she searches for him. How she desperately wishes it to be a bad dream. She tells him over and over how she will always be thinking of him, holding him in her heart and waiting for him. This song was played a lot after the Earthquake of '11 that happened in Japan where so many people lots family and friends suddenly and didn't get to have a proper good bye. For anyone interested here are some words used in the song that are repeated over and over. Ima (ee mah) = now Aitai (Ah ee Thai) = want to see Anata (ah nah tah) = you Watashi (wah tah she)= I/me Zutto (zoo Toh)= always/forever/for a long time Just count the number of times she uses the word Aitai (want to see) throughout the song. The verses end with Zutto (Zoo Toh) which means always/forever.

This song is a memorial to MISIA, which reads the last letters to their lovers and families of kamikaze pilots who committed suicide by flying bomb-laden planes from Kyushu against American troops who had landed in Okinawa during the war between Japan and the United States. It's a sad farewell song that I wrote and composed with meaning.

Japanese songs does to me what you are saying on the video. I LOVE this song. I don’t do lyrics for Japanese and Korean song. They are always so beautiful when I heard it without knowing it’s lyrics. Have this GRAND gesture to it. I know a lot of singers can sing great songs but how many can touch my hearts? Not many... She is definitely one. HuaHua is definitely the top one. (Arrgh I really promise myself not to always say his name in every single comments 😅). I DUMP chinese songs when they went nowhere 15 years ago (and other reasons). And Japanese songs was my go to at the time.

Thanks for featuring Japanese singer MISIA on your channel. However, MISIA's songs, "Aitakitate Ima" and "Sakura Hitohira" are sung with lyrics and melodies of sadness, bitterness, pain, hardship, hatred, and love that only Japanese of legitimate lineage can understand, which are kept deep inside and endured, and which are shared only by Japanese of legitimate lineage. I am sorry to repeat this, but only Japanese of legitimate lineage can understand it. Please watch over Japan and the Japanese people of this small island nation in the far east of the Pacific Ocean quietly from afar. If the countries of the world want high quality products and advanced technology, we would be happy to trade in goods made by Japanese people who have studied and trained themselves with the utmost sincerity and sincerity. However, we do not want them to come into Japan or the Japanese people.
