I'm Taiwanese and I agree with it that just listening to the music can enjoy the emotion too.But when you realize what they are singing,it will be more sympathy. That's why I study to the japanese because I want to understand what the meaning of the songs.Japanese is so full of rhythm, and it's pronunciation is so beautiful.I remember that it's the one of four most beautiful languages. It's structure is so suitable for singing.

Hi! I’m Japanese and love this song so much. The reason of that is the story behind she wrote. One day she went to the memorial hall of Tokkotai(i.e. air suicide attack units in WW2). She was devastated by seeing a lot of things including the soldiers’ last will, and spent whole day there. In the lyrics, she says “If I had known that I couldn’t have seen you anymore, I would’ve never let you go. If I had said ‘Please stay here’ as I’d wanted, would you be here and smiling next to me now?”. Thinking back how did the soldiers’ mothers suppressed their sorrows and sent their sons to a battlefield, I can’t help crying. Please understand I’m not offended by the U.S. I just felt so sad for those victims of both Japan and U.S. in the war back then. (Sadly the same thing is happening in Ukraine/Russia right now) Hope this story behind the song can be known more.

Misia expressed the desperate anguish and longing for a loved one that is lost to you. She was inspired to write this song after having visited a war museum where she read some letters between Kamikaze pilots and their loved ones. The song is from the point of view of the wife/girlfriend whose partner has left them behind to be a kamikaze pilot. She knows he's lost to her and will never see him again, but she is yearning desperately to see him RIGHT NOW, to be held again, to tell them things. She tells of how she would never have let go of his hands when they held hands if she had known it would be the last time, she asks if he would be by her side smiling today if she had cried and begged him not to go etc. She tell how she will forever be thinking of and waiting for him. It's a desperately sad love song. This song was also played a lot after the Great Eastern Earthquake of '11 where so many people lost friends and family.

That is just such a heart ranging story. Thank you so much for explaining it to me and greater detail. Sometimes with reactions I am running through things so quickly I don't take the time to look at as the song itself. You could really see there even though I couldn't understand her lyrics , I still understood that pain and anguished that she was expressing and It is only Testament to her performance skills because she crossed the barrier of language that I could understand her.

I Want to See You, now (Misia, Japan 逢いたくて今 AITAKUTE-IMA) Do you remember the day we first met? I haven’t forgotten a single day that’s passed I want to feel everything you had your eyes on I looked up at the sky, are you there now watching over me? Tell me… I’m missing you now There’s so much I want to tell you Oh, I miss you, I miss you I sadly long for your presence Where are you? Hold me I’ll always be here If I knew that we’d never see each other again I would never have let go of your hand If I had just cried and told you, “Stay with me” Would you still be here, smiling beside me? I’m missing you now There’s so much I want you to hear Oh, I miss you, I miss you Tears flow as time just passes me by Oh, I miss you, hold me close I’ll always be thinking of you Even if my destiny won’t change, I have something to tell you “I want to go back…” to that day, that time, this one wish is all I need I’m missing you now There’s so much I want you to know Oh, I miss you, I miss you All I could do was wish it was all a dream This heart of mine is still crying I’ll always be thinking of you

Good on you, Zoe, for justifying my very uneducated ear ( as a boring management consultant helping to re-organise an Insurance company) in 2001. I am Australian and was in Tokyo walking with a student researcher who worked for me. Going past a HMV record shop( remember them) this voice was on their loudspeakers. I was ARRESTED! The student extorted 3000 yen and returned with "Misia's Greatest Hits", now on a pile of CDs and DVDs two feet high (and attendance at a few concerts) since. The girl, depending on reports, has sold 30 - 45 million records, is praised by David Foster and had been a Japanese Special Ambassador to the United Nations. A fan of the female voice, ( e.g., Donna Summer, Gladys Night,, etc.)Misia is astonishing to me. As you say, no matter what language, her voice is a pealing bell of purity, command and just extraordinary emotion. She csn deliver this peerless instrument with total power over a two hour concert, let me assure you. Also, a serious person with NO gossip about her life and it full of good work and humanity. When chosen to sing the anthem at the Olympics, this crowned her unique and totally deserved place as a singer and Japanese treasure. And your video is from a Chinese singing contest in which she came third ( with totally neutral Chinese judges, no doubt). Good on you for the assessment.

He is one of the top singers representing Japan.🙂 This is the theme song for the drama "JIN" which was a big hit in Asia. ``The fate of a doctor who travels back in time to the Edo period and the woman of the Edo period'' A story that transcends time and space.

At the beginning of the song, there is the lyrics "I looked up at the sky. Are you watching over me there now?" In other words, are you looking at yourself in heaven after your lover, your dear friend, or your family has died? It can be interpreted as such. "I want to meet the dead. I want to feel everything that the dead felt when they were alive." This is a sad but very beautiful song.

She put herself into the song, so emotional. MISIA (mee-shah) is a JAPANESE singer, and this was CHINESE TV sho, and all the audiences are CHINESE. They didn't know what this song was all about either, just like you. However as you could see in the video, many audiences were moved, some people were in tears. This is the power of song, and how MISIA expresses the song. Thanks for bringing up her video. Thanks for the good explation. P.S. This is a song about a lost boyfriend. A woman who still loves, misses her boyfriend who she never be able to see again.

Thank you for analyzing this song! MISIA's song "EVERYTHING" turned me on to Japanese music back in the early aughts. I think the pronunciation is "MEE-sha". My family played music growing up, and the thing that always stood out about her voice is her insane control and ability to naturally make long notes begin powerful, and slowly grow. Reminiscent of Whitney Houston I think, and I mean that comparison honestly because MISIA's voice is truly amazing.

The Chiran Peace Museum in Kagoshima Prefecture displays relics and materials related to the kamikaze members of the end of World War II. A special attack was a desperate attack that rammed an enemy ship, including an airplane equipped with a bomb, and that sortie meant death. MISIA, who read the letter that the members wrote to their loved ones before the sortie, felt that "there is no letter that expresses the desire to meet any more" and "the core of the song has been decided."She says.

I don’t personally listen to a lot of MISIA but I know this song. May I suggest you put the original Japanese title in the title of your video as well? That way, more Japanese people will have the chance to see the video! (The title is 逢いたくていま) what you currently have on your video looks like Chinese, I think because she’s singing on a Chinese program in this video? Just a suggestion though! I look forward to more videos.

    ブォーカルコーチが両手を合わせて聞いているのを観て彼女の感情を考えていた。聞いているだけの立場と教える立場は受けとめる心構えが違うはず!

There definitely is. It is a huge difference, but with 1 x run through you can't gather too much tbh. We need to listen multiple times to gather the weight of it

If you play it once, can you watch it without stopping until the end? ❓ It's one work ... Excuse me for the work ... You're not watching the video alone in the room ... ❓ The act of stopping many times It's extremely unpleasant in itself ... From the side of watching the reaction video ... A laughing face ... A surprised face ... I just want to see a crying face ... ❓ Please give us your impressions after the video ends.
