@@upatgrassybottom9859Thanks, I am buying a sedum this year and I love that color. I also have a Miscanthus Morning Light. It has reddish brown plumes, with white edges on leaves. ❤ I hope it comes back this year, here in Ontario Canada.

I have some I grew from seed called Miscanthus Sinensis Early Hybrids I planted in bc I need an immediate privacy screen. I can't find any pics aside from the outside pride stock photo or any info beyond Outside Pride's description. I'm afraid because how fast it germinated and bolted that it might be one of the invasive ones you speak of in the beginning of the video. But I am in zone 6, and lost several grasses over the winter and considering how rapidly Japanese knotweed is claiming the earth in my area, maybe I should worry less and rejoice that every clump of miscanthus (however beautiful or otherwise) is one less stand of Japanese knotweed. And

You really need to buy named cultivars as seed raised are hit and miss. A great miscanthus screen grass would be miscanthus malepartus, but equally try calamagrostis acutiflora Karl foerster , look for books by Rick darke for pictures or look at knollgardens online.

I dont really understand what a named cultivar is yet, i just figured i got a type of generic type (like what annabell is to the incrediball hydrangea), but I'll head over to look for that book. Karl Forester, that's what I used on my other border. They are just sparse little flames as they were just planted in early spring but I'm loving what they are starting to look like 😍! Thank you for your response, direction, and videos! I can't wait to see more.

@ksero1000 a named cultivar, is a plant or grass that has been selected for some outstanding qualities . It has a proven track record and shouldn't fail to perform , and they are given a name. Then, all plants thereon are split from this mother plant to guarantee its qualities.
