Here's Miroslav Tadić performing his composition "Izvor" (For My Mother) on a classical guitar built in 2002 by Jeffrey Elliott with spruce soundboard and CSA rosewood back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

he makes the guitar come to life. I have never heard of this builder, but it sounds amazing. I just discovered this man, and I am so glad I did. Lot’s to learn by watching and listening... 🐰❤️🎸🎶🤝✌️
Many players today are too influenced by the piano. They’ve forgotten (or never knew) that in the right hands, the guitar has a fluidity unmatched by the piano. The guitar is a stringed instrument-embrace it, as Miroslav Tadić does here.
Loved every second of it.
I sure dig this, reminds me of oud music but with our loved sound of a beautiful guitar. A rare and exotic gem.
Absolutely beautiful piece and great performance bravo meastro
I can see you more than love what you do. The sound coming from that guitar is heavenly. Thank you Miroslav.

Plenty of great performances on here, you can't expect students in their 20s to deliver this tenor and depth of expression.

@@chaz32 Dont get me wrong. Their performances are great, but they are just interpreters. And yes, this kind of intimacy and understanding of the instrument doesn't come from studying. There are a lot of musicians out there that are and were the foundation of modern and classical music that never had formal education.

Kako samo žuboriš, maestro, sjajno si odabrao naslov.... P.S. Kada će album s Yvette? Jeste se našli, svaka čast! Onaj 'nikšićki' snimak šaljem svima koje volim. Hvala!!! P.P.S.
Great!
Прекрасно!

Strangely i didn't like this my first listen. Must have been in a weird mood, because I felt compelled to come back and enjoy it.

聞いていてふと思ったのですが、ところどころ琉球音階的なフレーズがあるように感じます。
"Izvor" means "(water) spring" or "(water) stream" in Romanian.

Yes, an its meaning is the same in language of Miroslav. The subtitle in brackets is not a translation, rather his interpretation of what “mother” means for him and for all of us :)
