Miranda is so adorable! She absolutely loves mommy's sweet potatoes! It's so great to see a mom that's using a proper baby spoon with a small amount of food on it and puts the spoon into the baby's mouth! You'd think it's comon sense but it's mind blowing to see how many moms use a regular sized metal spoon to feed a baby for the first time and then they just put the spoon up to the baby's mouth so the baby has to try and suck the food off! I feel so bad when the babies get frustrated and start crying & flailing about! I have 4 grown children of which 2 are now married so I'm praying for grandchildren soon! You have a lovely family!

Sweet Babies!! I could tell this was an experienced Mommy because she actually put food on a proper sized spoon and put enough food on the spoon and actually put it into the baby's mouth. Beautiful Family, it was just wonderful to hear Everyone having dinner together, My Husband has passed away and all Our Children are grown with Families of their own now. Thank you for bringing back a time of wonderful memories. God bless

For the 1st time eating this baby is amazing....opening her mouth for the spoon, making a chewing motion with her, totally different that suckling. Proud Mom and Dad💖

It is Really hard to believe that this is her first solid food ! Her tongue control is fantastic !

I just loved this. Shout out to all mom's with new babies and other children to boot. Little quiet precious baby girl having a nice bonding moment with mom eating for the first time, and her two older brothers are talking and banging and making noise. Too funny.

She did great! Sweet smile. Mom did a great job feeding her. Small amount in a baby spoon, not too fast. Just right. Liked how Dad got the other kiddos I too.

Notice the baby keeps lifting her head toward the spoon because its natural to sit up to eat, also necessary for gravity to work it's magic on digestion, so a high chair is the best remedy. Wake up and realize that it does not make you special because you ALWAYS defend/ cheer on the bad parents as well as the good. We defend and cheer on the babies. I think we have a better cause than you. You keep on protecting parents instead of the children like you always did in your job at Children Protective Services, we'll keep looking out for helpless dependant children.

ce collie I apologize if I sound bad to you, but how can it be against common advice for a baby to be in a high chair?? Are you serious? You are obviously not familiar with the other person who commented here, Linda C. She attacks every person that does not agree with her. This has been going on for a Long time where she constantly follows a whole group of people. She does not watch these baby videos for the benefit of viewing these adorable little babies like the rest of us do, she waits to see who comments, Then, and only then, does she say nasty comments toward every person in the comment section that she decided she doesn’t like. I Love and adore babies and there is nothing wrong with giving a suggestion. How do you think most people in the world learn, only from doctors?? Please, we learn from each other, and it’s a good thing. I have never left a nasty comment about a baby or a parent, I may suggest something that I think is beneficial, which is harmless. You can not say that you have NEVER left a comment, suggesting something, or given your opinion. What do you think YT is for? I have met so many amazing people in the comment section on YT. And thee Only person on YT that I’ve had a problem with is this other lady who commented here. I’ve not heard from her for a few months so maybe she’s done with her quest. I can only hope. He is so cute and such a Happy baby. You can tell that he is well taken care of. He love sweet potatoes, He is blessed with beautiful parents. Thank you LORD. So many babies are being born to live a life of Hell right here on earth. Those babies are GOD special little Angel.

How old is your baby ? I though babies have to be a year old before other solid foods beside baby rice cereal that taste pretty blend, the reason for waiting is to prevent algeries. But she looks like she's enjoying it and lets face it sweet potatoes are so yummy.

The spoon is not supposed to be left in the mouth at all!! In and right back out so the baby learns how to use it's tongue to push the food to the back of it's mouth. Sucking the food off the spoon is what you stop them from doing.

Baby should not be allowed to suck the food off the spoon like this one is doing!! Spoon should be taken back out immediately so baby has to learn to use it's tongue to push the food to the back of the mouth. Sucking the spoon is the same as sucking a bottle!

@Aaron Schumacher the gut can't even absorb nutrients from solids until a baby is at least 4months old. There is a significant risk for aspiration as the baby is only capable of safely suckling..... kitten's Mom

No, not cereal. Pediatricians have stopped recommending it because it's low in nutrition, and grains are grown with massive amounts of pesticides. Even arsenic. Sweet potatoes, avocados, mashed banana are better starter foods for babies.

@Aaron Schumacher It's true that pediatricians are recommending solids at a younger age than they used to. Even two months. But I'd be pretty careful about how "real" the food is for the very young ones. Mashed or pureed seems prudent. As for babies controlling you, you do have to pretty much arrange your life around a young infant. That doesn't make you a slave, and it doesn't mean you panic at every whimper. As they close in on one or two they can take their place more in the family and do some adjusting on their own.

I hope you fed her properly later. It's okay to let her play with the spoon, but you've got to feed her for her to eat properly.

Maybe it's the tone and frequency of your "advice" when you criticize the parents who thought they were doing a good job. You look for problems that aren't there, and I'm sure you make the parents feel really bad and undermine their confidence. You've been all over You Tube doing this for years. .

Christina Logan: You can tell when a baby is ready for food. So many of these videos show people feeding their babies food at 3 or 4 months old. I just can't understand why they force their babies to eat food at such a young age. Makes me mad for some reason! I'm sure the children are just fine but it's obvious some were not ready.

KT well this baby as young as you think it is, is a fantastic eater. Opening its mouth for the spoon actually doing a chewing motion instead of a sucking motion . This baby clearly knows what's going on and is ready to eat solid food .
