The plane is clearly underperforming compared to its real life counterpart. But the biggest offense of it all is… it has no refueling probe!

I have some doubts honestly on how much it's underperforming. It's AOA, rudder control, and maybe energy retention in turns, stuff like that maybe aren't correct ( gonna need a source) but crucially the missiles seem to be and it's engine is also right, the snecma 9k50 was apparently pretty underpowered, even for the time. It's a 10.7 being forced to be at 11.3. It's radar seems to be actually overpowering even. Too little, too late. This is a plane that should have been added with the f4e/mig21bis at most. To actually nfight mld's, viggens and such you either need a F1 m53, with a much more powerful engine, or just go for the mirage 2000c with the super 530ds which have pd Seeker and can ignore chaff.

The F.1C had no refueling probe. The F.1C-200 and others did.

This has given me slightly more confidence in the plane, and is a more useful review than others. Very cool that you can explain what the plane does well and how it’s weapons will perform instead of saying “plane bad” or “plane good”

well the thing is, from playing mirage 3 extensively, and the F1 for the last 2 days, that it doesnt really bring such an improvement over the 3 that justifies the 11.3BR if I played the mirage 3 at 11.3 i'd get similar stats to what I get in the F1. now let's see how it will be with custom loadout. being able to load 4 magics might be a game changer. but i'm not sure it's gonna be possible. that being said, being a french main i'm still very happy to get it :)

@@Marfius_Au_Marfongus maybe it'll go 11.0 honestly i'd even see it at 10.7. again, it's not that different from Mirage 3. especially when it comes to flight performance (much better climb though) but from following the Gaijin forum, the problem with the super 530F was the G pull, and it's already been fixed. so it's currently "ok" according to Gaijin's sources or whatever :) then again. it's not a bad plane, magics are still awesome, and flying only mirage for so long I do enjoy them, and have positive stats in them. still a thrill to fly something else than a Mirage 3, while being in known territory.

you're better off in the mirages 3s than playing the f1, in top tier your really just siting duck, especially if you have a bad team

Fun fact: in 2016, an ex-USAF pilot was found to be flying Mirage F1s for the Libyan government, almost like a mercenary. From what I remember, he was apprehended and jailed for it.

The F1C should be at most 11.0. The weaponry and performance doesn't really justify its top tier BR.

11.0 won't make a difference, just a .3 difference in br wont do anything, 11.0 and 11.3 are both top tier br

people are already saying that the F1C would be competitive at 10.7 and it is not 11.3 material due to the fact that the 530F doesnt have CW illumination so it wil instantly track chaff like a R-60 to flares. whats your opinion on this

This is true, it would be much more competitive fighter at 11.3 with Magic 2. But the main issue with this fighter is the Flight Model combined with Mouse Aim. At the moment, It feels awkward to fly.

I mean with the FM issues you can and will lose all dogfights with any fighter within its BR range if you don't kill them with the magics on your first pass. Like its bad to the point where F104s will outturn you. And like you said, at 11.3 the 530F doesn't have CW illumination and is almost useless unless the person you are targeting forgets he has an RWR, used up all their countermeasures or for some reason, didn't take chaff. Though I will say that I have nailed a couple of F4Js thinking they are notching me when I lock them in MTI mode

@@majo3488 the 9L is way under performing. Besides the fact that it was a 40g missle, it doesn't even achieve 30g in game. It is quite literally acting like a 9G as it's all aspect fails aswell.

This channel is like… apocalyptically underrated.

Funny thing about the F1. It’s nickname is “The Tomcat Killer”, though that only truly applies to the Iraqi F1EQ version.

@@jeandelacroix6726 that’s absolutely correct, but it killed a surprising amount of Tomcats to the point where the Iranians had to change their tactics to combat the F1s. The F1EQ pilots were trained by the French and had really stunned the Iranians when they joined the fight. Also, I’m not saying the F1 is better than the F-14 by any means, just that the F1 is a pretty significant and underrated Cold War-era jet.

A great plane and a great addition to the game. speaking of the F1s failed cousins, I do hope we do see them in the game eventually as well. Those French Swing-Wings are really beautiful.

Plane has ATAR-9 iirc, which is the advance derivative of the German Me262 engines.

Speaking of Mirages that shot down Tomcats, God I want the F-1EQ so bad.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this and the F-1C-200 since the release, flight changes, and higher BR additions. I struggle with it, personally.

I try to show both sides of the coin, so to speak.

I only have the french tree this advanced, so my main experience is with Mirage 3. so far, seems like i'm gonna get pretty similar stats from the F1 (though im pretty sure i would get similar stats with mirage 3 at 11.3 too. F1 has more missiles, but way more hard to aim guns due to rudder). but, is it a common things that it rips so easily? I barely ever have to watch my speed with mirage 3, and this doesnt feel good :(

Does this have the same sound as the 2000 mirage?

Well, "too expensive" is subjective .. so .. just check your wallet .. ;-) That said, I strongly suspect the premium A-10 and premium XM-1 are going to be a very popular grinding combo for the American tech tree.

Hey guys I’ve recently unlocked the marker a1 and every time I enter my sniper mode but when I try to exit i switch to my commander sight and for some reason my whole turret starts twitching and turning in while motions any one else going through this and how can I fix this ?

Runway snipes wouldn't be a problem if the economy would allow more players to have at least a few million SL to spare. I remembered 2 years ago, spading a top tier jet with another top tier jet (like FGR2 and FG1) could get you double the amount needed to buy if you play ok. I just used my F-4E to grind the light fighter and naval fighter lines at rank 6 and rank 7. I have a KD of 1,5 in my F-4E and an fully skilled ace crew to repair it a bit while afk. But anyway, I just made enough money to buy every plane - but I wouldn't be able to afford an crew or even expert crew. I have some million SL laying around but I think i will wait a few months for the next 50 percent SL sale and buy everything then. But for new players that must be stupid.

If I do 10 matches in my jets (F-4E or MiG-27M) and don't have big issues with packet loss I make around 5 k SL per game as a net profit (repairs and ammo already taken in this number) and that would be cool, if I don't had to pay a million SL for a top tier jet.

in my opinion, the platform is very capable, but is completely let down by the missiles it has

The past few updates has shown me how toxic the community is. Sure it's not implemented as good as it could be compared to others, and it's not a big 3 plane. 😂 But actually talking about the plane instead of just finding things to complain about is refreshing. Makes me think most people are spoiled and don't bother even learning to properly fly the planes they talk about.

And yes, the community is very toxic, but thats something you learn after 3 matches of air RB lol. Also, people are allowed to be super pissed at gaijin, as this is a PRODUCT, that a lot of people PAY FOR. Most people at top tier have suck money into the game, and therefore are allowed to complain all they want

Also it's almost as if I'm allowed to talk about multiple things without someone randomly over analyzing a single part of what I said. Literally wrote 3 paragraphs over it... The community is also plenty toxic to each other. A lot of people are only concerned about the things they want and not what is actually healthy for the game.
