The episodes are great.

"Missed me? Where was I?" 😂 That is definitely something Dr. Smith would come up with. The voice actor for his character is spot on too! I'm really digging this plot. It's just like watching the old series again!

Oddly enough, Don sounds different, despite being played by the same actor, as does Will - but all the characters have aged 15 years!

This was written by Bill Mumy in the late 70's. There's a beautiful table reading of it by the remaining cast available on the blu-ray release in the box set...

Good catch! I read the comments and remember I had a Tasco telescope in the late 70s and once I saw the poster remembered I used to have it too. I actually remember the telescope more than I do the poster though 🙂

Yes, but, since the actual ground was splitting and dropping away, and physical features of land were changing, “...changes in the geography...” is accurate since ...”changes in the geology...” would refer more to the composition of the rock, rather than its location.

All the voices sound great except for that of John Robinson.

They mostly are. This is from the reading of Bill Mumy's Journey Home script which features on the blu ray HD set. John Robinson is played by his son, Guy Williams Jr, Maureen by Veronica Cartwright (as June Lockhart had the flu that day), and Dr Smith by Kevin Burns. The robot is a mix of stock Dick Tufeld and - Kevin Burns? Also featured is Toni Williams (Guy's daughter) and the alien.

The remakes, including the Netflix one, and the Movie were blind to the true charm of the original - the Jupiter 2 was a thrilling, cozy, snug-under-the-blankets Winnebago camping ride with family and friends through the Galaxy!! ... Instead of a remake on this wonderful camping ride charm they gave us WOKE; they gave us darkness and cynicism, they gave us snarky dysfunctional characters! (With the exception noted, and needed, for Dr. Smith.) ... Remake the original charm! .. With less infantile plots, and keep the shape of the Jupiter 2! (but bigger so as to be able to imagine it carrying all that stuff!). ... and don't fret about technical and scientific inaccuracies - allow us fans to fill in the gaps with our own fantasies!

Did they actually agree to do voice overs?

I believe that this was created around a script reading where all of the actors/actresses sat together at a table to do a series resolution of sorts where they finally get home to Earth.

Nice but the voices and the visual are out of sync!
