Welcome! ❤️ Don't forget to check out my blog (humblebeeandme.com) as well-I've been blogging since 2011 while I’ve only been on KZread since about 2016, so there are a lot more formulations on the blog. The blog is also where my totally free ingredient encyclopedia and FAQ live, and they're both packed with tons of super-helpful information ❤️ Happy making!
You know that will feel great on the skin. 🍓🌹

Can i use sodium lactate in place of glycerine? Is this meant to replace body lotion or i use before applying my lotion
What is the key ingredients used in estee Lauder night serum that makes the face gloooowyyyy but its expensive 🫰. Could you please tell us 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤
I'm using strawberry glycerite to follow the theme. And chose to use strawberry fragrance oil and polysorbate 20 in place of the strawberry hydrosol. It'll make it more inexpensive to create. The rose hydrosol is inexpensive. Since Essential Wholesale decided to charge 48$ for their strawberry hydrosol and only provide 1 size bottle! Ridiculous! 😢 PS Neroli hydrosol may be nice with the rose as well!

Can I add ready made hyaluronic acid serum as that from Elizavecca? Hyaluronic acid is at the top of ots ingredient list and claim to have 97% concentration...has 1,2 hexanediol as its solvent. In a lip mask how much would u recommend I add?
Your are the girl!! 2nd to none. Just give me a piece of your brain, lol❤. Keep up the magnificent works!!
Another great video, honey where can I buy the glass plates that you use, and the glass measuring cups. Ty so much

Hi Ivon! Are you in Canada? Do you think hec feels better than xanthan clear?
anyone know where she bought that hand stick she is using to mix the formula? i love it.
Thanks for sharing! Quick ? Where did you get your dispenser caps on the glycerin and preservative? Looks like it makes it more precise and less mess. Thanks in advance 😊

Tried using HEC to thicken a AHA based formula to create a gel. It keeps failing and only gelling at the bottom no matter how I try to hydrate the HEC. Yes I've added it to glycerin then added my liqhid ingredients. I've mixed by hand and even homogenized and keep it still fails. I'm not sure why it will not properly hydrate. The pH is about 4.5
Strawberry hydrosol has not been easy for me to find in the US. Either that or pretty expensive, $24 USD for 2 oz. Where do you buy yours from?

Mine is from Essential Wholesale (it's linked in the free partner blog post), but you can definitely substitute it for a different hydrosol you like :)

Right? Marie made another beautiful formula using strawberry hydrosol & I was like I really really want that, so I shopped around & my goodness is it steep. I'm guessing fruit distillates are a little more difficult to make than more aromatic ones Now I'm considering saving up for my own hydrosol distiller. This hobby can be such a slippery slope sometimes 😂

Agreed. I think companies have been using the Covid-19 excuse to bump prices. Almost ALL skincare additives have gone up 20% to 50% since the pandemic. I don't see them decreasing at all. That leads me to believe they are over charging at this point. It makes it hard on those of us who sell products. Not to mention the people who are just playing to learn or create their own products! 😢😢😢

I'd use rose hydrosol and strawberry fragrance! You'll have to add polysorbate 20 with your fragrance to get it to mix with all the watery ingredients. That's my plan. Nurture Soap and Nature's Garden both make good strawberry fragrances!

Nice to see new formulation ! I have one question, please can you share your thoughts about it, What do you think about humectants, it's water magnits with different capacities (hyaluronic acid up 1000 times of it's weight, glycerine - up to 50 times, i guess, I'm not sure about others, sodium lactate and some thickeners), this magnits pull water out of air in upper layer of skin to plum it, if air doesn't have sufficient moisture ( 1000 times of hyaluronic acid weight), then they pull ot water from deeper layers of dermis, it's sounds very scary, of couse we must apply them on dam skin, and use oclusive on top, but may be there can be some better options for moisturizing? Like aquaxyl, and hydroxyethyl urea ( i do not know much about it), or saccharide isosorbide? Please, can you share your thoughts about this ...

I've written about this fairly extensively here: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/is-there-a-humectant-tipping-point-where-they-dry-out-the-skin/. TL;DR: Don't worry about it :)

Thank you. Similar to what I do combine to use on skin immediately after shower before oil and LOTION application. I combined 1) Aloe vera gel 2) Hylaulonic soothing gel 3) rose water 4) glycerin. The mix everything
❤😮
Too much of clickbate for such a basic formula

I don't think so, if you don't get excited over the simple things too (omg do I LOVE glycerin, it's aquaporin goodness!), and you can only enjoy them when it's complicated, then what's the point? And look how gorgeous that serum is, she could sell it for 2-4 times the cost it was to make it just on the aesthetic alone. This basic formula is straight alchemy

I am a professional formulator, I work with ingredients and actives that you have no idea that exist, but yet the simplest things work way better than you think....that basic formula can be enriched to become a super star if you add more to it....

Very rude and you can’t even spell your unfounded criticism, which just makes you look stupid.
@jillgross6232

If it can be done simply it is more efficient for the skin. You can get into using to many ingredients in a single formulation. It then starts canceling each other out. Not everything needs to be complicated to be good for the skin! Marie NEVER uses click bate. If you don't enjoy her work....move on. Or if you think your better, create your own channel. Be prepared for criticism yourself!
