The Days of Childhood
He was born in Kermanshah in a celebrated educated family. He passed the primary school in his birthplace in Alliance, the school which was established by the French Government and from those years he became familiar with the French language and literature then he entered the Razi high school and chose the natural branch to follow his father’s advice. His attachment to poetry and literature which was formed in him from very early days, rooted deeper by the encouragement of his teacher and then he was matriculated as a university student in the Faculty of literature and Human Science of Tehran University. He was graduated from university with a bachelor in 1972 and then he followed his studies in the same field for receiving his M.A. grade and at length in 1991 he defended his Ph.D. dissertation under the title of “The Study on the in Shahnameh Hero’s Temperaments” under the supervision of Dr. Hakemi as a guide, Dr. Mosaffa, and Dr. Tajlil as advisors. The dissertation was later published under the title of “Dream, Epic and Myth”.
Professional Activities
Mir Jalaleddin Kazazi after receiving his Ph.D. Degree started to teach Persian language and literature in the Razi University of Kermanshah and then by the suggestion of Dr. Mehdi Moohaqeq he started to teach in the Damavand College and by the formation of the University of Allameh Tabatabai, he was invited as a member of the scientific board and from then on beside teaching he started to work as a researcher, author, translator of literary works and poet. He wrote his poems under the pen name of Zurvan. He also possesses the precious experience of teaching Iran studies and Persian literature in Spain within the years of 1997 to 2000.
Heretofore Kazazi has published more than a hundred books and many articles which are published in domestic and foreign journals and some of them have appeared in the collected essays of the literary congregations.
Personal life
His wife is lady Simin Dokht Didehdar and they together have four offspring who are named Amir Sadreddin, Amir Roham, Setti Anahit, and Setti Mandana.
