@@shaniareason85 In John 1:1, the literal Greek reads "In beginning was the Word" (the King James Bible says "In [the] beginning was the Word") when the definitely article "the" is absent in the Greek, it is not referring to a definite time like the creation of our world but rather the most remote eternity that the human mind cannot conceive; before all creation, the Word or Jesus before he became man existed. The same verse continues to say, "and the Word was with God," showing that in the most remote eternity, there was never a time that the Word or Jesus was not with the Father/God. Then the verse ends by saying, "Indeed, the Word or Jesus was God," showing that Jesus, before he became a man, shared the divine nature or Godhead with the Father. In verse 14 of John 1, it says the Word or Jesus "was made flesh and dwelt among us." When this occurred, Jesus became the Son of God (as foretold by the angel in Matthew 1:35, ...that holy thing which shall be born of thee "shall be called the Son of God"), and in his capacity as a man, he indeed prayed to God, his Father. I would advise you to go back to the SDA Church my sister and study more deeply, then you will find that is the Remnant Church. I also left the church 26 years ago but I went back four years ago. I began studying the Word of God much deeper with the help of the Holy Spirit and that's when I much deeper

I very much agree with the sentiments of the other two who replied to you previously. One day we all have to stand before the LORD God Almighty. We need to obey God at all times, He will help you, so by God's good grace He will save all those who love Him and rely on Him. He will come and save you my sister. Go back to God, obey His commands. Jesus says, if you love me, keep my commandments. Love kept Jesus on the cruel cross. Look at the cross, look at Gethsemane and see the suffering Christ. He did it for me! He did it for you! Look to Jesus and be saved.

@@Sabbath7thdaySaturday Nope that's not true the two are not the same ten commandments and the whole "law" was a yoke a burden to the house of Israel and the love commandment also known as law of liberty or Royal law is way different from the ten commandments. 2corinthians 3:6-8 calls it the ministration of death engraved in stones scriptures go on to call the old covenant the ministry of condemnation now this cannot be about love at all. Acts 15:5-10 when Jewish converts insisted that Gentiles be circumcised and keep the law of Moses the apostles response was amazing they said "Why put a yoke which we and our forefathers could not bear on the shoulders of the Gentiles" Again even the Jews were struggling with keeping the law yet you guys are still clinging to the law. Jesus said "come unto me all ye who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you REST" who was heavy laden? The Jews. He went on to say"Take my yoke upon you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly at heart and your souls will find rest" the old covenant which included the ten commandments was a burden a yoke to them. Hebrews say this about the old covenant Hebrews 8:7 For if the first covenant was faultless a need for a new covenant would not have been sought" .

Matthew 5:11-13 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

We have to pray for these people. Not only are they deceived, they are deceiving others. If they don’t repent, a great woe is coming their way. Thank you gentlemen for your Bible based response 🙏🏼

What I know as a biblical teacher within the SDA church is that we view all the christians from different denominations as brothers and sisters in the faith. We had a whole quarterly sabbatschool on this theme, some long time ago. We also view that in revelation it is spoken of 2 Women. Scriptures shows us a Women symbolizes the church. In revelation we see 2 types of Women depicted. One women symbolizes the church of Christ. The bride of Christ, pure, clothed with white, who stands on the Old and New testament. Covered with the 12 stars who symbolizes the 12 disciples. We also see in revelation another women depicted who is seated on a dragon. Decked in red gold and drinks wine etc. Who whores with the others. Mixing truth and error. The Roman Catholic church qualifies as that Babylon system which whores with all the other churches as she acts as the Mother church. We believe that there is going to be 2 shaking at the end of time. One in the church of God and one in all these churches. We believe that Gods children are scattered in all christian churches. So, we believe that Gods true worshippers are all out there. We believe that before Jesus comes, God is going to unite all the true worshippers in one fold. As we believe there will come a true revival and reformation in combination with the Holy spirit moviing on people causing the latter rain. In terms of '' apostate. You will have to give me a quote or something. What I do know is that the majority of christian have drunk from the cup of truth and error. So, doctrines have crept in that are not biblical. Like: 1. Once saved always saved. 2. The speaking in tongues *Glossolalia. 3. The doctrine that the soul is eternal. 4. That when you die you go straight to heaven or hell or to a purgatory. 5. Praying to the dead saints or Mary. 6. Mary veneration or that she is Co-mediator alongside Christ. 6. Sunday sabbath worship. 7. Eternal Punishing in Hell. 8. Confession to Priests. 9. The rapture. 10. The notion that the scriptures is not enough. That one needs to add te church's authority, the church fathers and that the apostles are more prominent in interpretations instead of following the word of God and Jesus alone. Allot of false doctrines are circulating throughout vast numbers of christian churches. These are just some examples. Hope this helps . We believe that God will unite the true worshippers under one fold and prepare them for the last hours of earths history awaiting the second coming of Jesus. God bless

@@bibledynasty5050 You would be surprised to know that though I’M NOT SDA, you speak the same truth that can be found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Of course there is one exception. The sabbath Day. The Jews were given Saturday as the Holy Sabbath. However, when Jesus died and was resurrected on the FIRST DAY UNDER THE NEW COVENANT, SUNDAY BECAME THE NEW SABBATH DAY FOR THE GENTILES. Y’all are not Jewish, right… so you should not hang an entire belief in a religion on a Jewish sabbath day. The Sabbath Day is very important, but our Salvation doesn’t begin there and end there. Our Salvation is bigger than 1 day of complete worship to God. 🙏🏽❤️

i think a simple google search of major cults immediately brings up SDA. And there are major doctrinal issues with your beliefs - annihilations, investigative judgement, mark of the beast, Ellen G. White, …the list is too long. Granted that guy may not have gone deep to doctrinal issues but that doesn't mean he was wrong about the movement. Honestly you were arguing semantics on being called a cult. Also my understanding of the canonicity of scripture is that new testament in particular was written by eye witnesses of Christ in the life of other eye witnesses. To elevated Ellen G. Whites writing to standard of scripture is nothing but cultish. and to call Christ the Archangel Michael is to blaspheme, to say that hell is not eternal is to call Christ a liar - He is the one who teaches about hell more than anything, if souls sleep - why is Lazarus alive in the parable while the rich man's brothers are still alive in the earth. Kicking scripture out of context at its best.

I am a born Methodist, I am a SDA NOW. There is no problem with the Word of God. The problem are with those who want to play game with WORD OF GOD, and want to alter it to suit their own problem. Do not look for excuses, it won't save your soul.

Excellent video.👍 Unfortunately the people in the video claiming SDA's are a cult like Mormons or JW's are simply ignorant of the scriptures and perhaps even the word cult itself. The encyclopedia Britannica gives us this definition: "In recent years the word cult has been most commonly used as a pejorative term for a religious group that falls outside the mainstream and, by implication, engages in questionable activities." Many people throw that word around today as a negative to reference a group that is extremist, isolationist, with an authoritarian leader. Obviously SDA's do NOT fit this category unless you consider going 100% by the Bible a questionable activity! Bible truth in its entirety is outside the mainstream today but with that said, these people could most surely use a Bible study on Revelation 14:12.

Michael, the archangel IS in fact Jesus Christ. The scriptures were given and if you do a thorough study of this subject, you will arrive at Bible truth. You will have to prove to us from scripture how Jesus isn't Michael the archangel.

Thank you so much for this session. I’ve learned more how to respond to people who call SDA a cult. I need prayer to be able to express what I know. I’ve never good with being able to express what’s in my mind. Can express my love for Jesus and His love for others because it comes from my heart, but fail to express what I know and learn clearly. I can point someone to what I’ve read or heard but have a very hard time expressing it directly from my mind. I pray that God protects this ministry and that you all remain brave and determined to teach His truth in Jesus name. I could be easily deceived without the clarification you give. Being older doesn’t help because I find it harder to learn now. Keep me in your prayers.

As a Christian, I consider myself of no denomination! None as there is one body and one Lord. I heard you read Jude 1:9 and it says ”But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”“ ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭ When you read that it said Christ! Are we reading the same verse? I went to a SDA church because I was invited and it was good I was clapping and singing along until they started to sing a song and the lyrics went along the lines of “Oh Sabbath Day” I was like wait a minute…I worship the Lord God and him only yes the day is blessed but we know from scripture that the rest Hebrew speaks of is Christ himself. This is why Christ rebuked them when he healed the man’s hand on a sabbath day. Two commands I leave you Love God, Love people. I love all of you not here to argue I am a just pointing out my experience it’s not above truth though God sent his son to die to for the world and whoever should receive him will be saved.

Amen! I know of a lady who recently left the a SDA church because it goes against book of Galatians in her opinion. I know we need the whole Bible not just one part for salvation in Christ.

I'm a renewed Christian. I grew up Baptist then "nondenominational"...i agree ONLY with GOD'S word, scripture! Denominations are not of GOD! With that being said, these gentlemen sound like they're speaking scripture. No objections. However, division aganist GODS people seems dangerous to me. Saying "God's true church" seems boastful. What scripture says SDA is God's true church? Im a student od the word. Amen!

In the book of Revelation, there are two types of women or "churches" that are brought to view, namely an impure church (Revelation 17) and a pure church (Revelation 12). I believe one may say that because STRAIGHT IS THE GATE AND NARROW IS THE WAY. People don't think or believe that our Father in Heaven calls us to honor his Commandments, and all the fundamentals we believe in and Honor. So they call it "cult". However, absolutely nothing could be further from the truth. Thank you Father for your REMNANT CHURCH!

The way this group of Bible men explains the beliefs of SDA against the doctor talking about the sda as if he knows anything about us makes me stand firmer in my sda faith and bible truth. This team is so profoundly firm in bible truth answering back to these lies that I wonder if anyone in the podcast came back to contest them. Also, the way the pastor henriques presents current events with what the bible says about these events is an eye-opening of the times we are living. But people would rather listen to a "professor" who doesn't even know how to do proper research. I wish I was so advanced in bible knowledge like these solid sda bible believers. I am a Seventh Day Adventist Christian and have been one for over 40 years. I however have questions on how we interpret some of the bible verses and how we use the writings of Sister White. Why should having the testimony of Jesus Christ in the last part of Revelation 12: 17 not refer to those who believe in Jesus Christ" as opposed to the spirit of prophecy. Sister White has a role to play in the church but I find it difficult to fit her role in Revelation 12: 17. She also says she is a lesser light but could it be that we have elevated her work beyond what was intended?

I think people have elevated her not the denomination. We had a friend who knew and could quote all of Ellen G White words but didn't know any scriptures by hard accept the 4th commandment. He's no longer a SDA.

@@gailslocumb6136 She is quite important in the 28 fundamental beliefs and is pretty much required for acceptance into the church, but I agree it seems more so since 1980.

I appreciate this engagement because I wouldn’t have realized that some of the claims made by the Dr are not true, however I think it would have been fruitful to share light on the other misconceptions, to give context n their background because this engagement in itself can be evangelism.

When I hear someone a pastor saying a sect of Christianity is the "one-true church" I run! where in the word does it says ANY sect is the one-true church? Does the word say "you will not enter the kingdom of heaven but through Jesus Christ?" If your pastor is not teaching BIBLE you shouldn't be in that church. Having all these sects were wrong anyway we need to get rid of them. There is a lot of divisiveness and false prophets in the land, the answers are in the Bible.
