Jim Bob is a control freak, and him and Michelle should also be in prison for knowing what their son did to their daughters. As far as my opinion counts, they are the problem, because they chose their reputation over their daughters safety and security.

At my dads celebration of life (and I was 61 then) I read a letter I had wrote to him...but wanted all of his friends to hear it. I told them how he backed every single decision I ever made...even the bad ones. How, since my father died while I was a baby, he never acted as if I were baggage that came with my mom...I was his daughter. I look back and realize how very blessed I was to have a dad that didnt have to be. So when I hear stuff like this, my heart breaks. A girl, even in her sixties, needs her dad..I love my mom, my husband , my sons and grandchildren...but I miss and need my dad. I am so sorry he has treated his daughters like this and pray they realize they will not change him until he wants to change...and are blessed with understanding, loving husbands.

He claims to be a Christian yet hid the horrendous crimes his son did. No married woman should have to ask for daddy’s permission to dress or act a certain way. Once she turned 18, that’s where the control needs to stop. From day one of that show, I said there were some serious skeletons in their closets. They pretend to be soo wholesome but that’s more of a cult thing. The way JB controls his adult kids is def. The mind set of a cult leader. Both JB and Michelle need to be investigated for their actions.

The parents are not actually dictating or demanding what the grown kids do. I remember Michelle saying on one of the episodes years ago when one of the daughters were getting married..."You leave, and cleave! Lol " ...meaning, you are kinda on your own now with your husband to make your own decisions. Only thing is...Michelle and JB do at this time still have minor kids that they are bringing up with biblical values and they have that right to and should..EVEN if one or more choose not to abide or embrace them later. It is still the duty and right for the parents to raise them up in the way they should go (definately NOT of the worldly ways that are full of debauchery). When and if anyone (family members included) should intentionally or unintentionally block that endeavor via visible, observable contrary choices, well that's not an easy call to make on the behalf of the minor kids they are guiding and raising up. Guess a couple of the adult Duggars don't yet understand that kind of interference and the hardship it presents to their own parents. The older Duggars had it rough being in the public eye. It was only a matter of time before the left dug for old dirt. This newer group of young Duggars will have it a little better provided especially socially intimate, or familia influences do not taint them.

Tontitown is translated from Italian as “a town of idiots” let’s break down the translation … Tont means idiot, adding the “i” at the end means more than one. I meet them while I was working at a Walmart store about 10 years ago and they were so nice. I’ve never seen their tv show and don’t care too much for them. Ironically they are not a big deal where they live. I only knew about them when another store clerk pointed them out to me 10 years ago. What Jim Boob did was a sliver short of child trafficking; and, given his protection of his child predator son to the detriment and suffering of his daughters is, if not illegal, is disgusting. Every cent in Jim Booby's pocket is due to Jill's hard work and strict obedience to her mother and father's wishes. Jim see himself as the king of his own little castle and believes that he is due unwavering respect, respect that he has not earned. How can you respect a man who earns his living by exploiting his children? He's pathetic and so glad Jill has an excellent husband. She will have a good life, one which is still pleasing to their god, provided she can get over her childhood abuse and exploitation. I think she hasn't gone far enough fighting back. I think she should use the "adult survivor's legislation" and had he father charged for anything that he did to allow for the repeated victimization of his daughters. Who's with me?

Parenting is SO hard, let’s cut some slack to parents who can think outside the box but still face this cutting stage. I know everyone likes to bash JimBob and I'm sure some of you will take advantage of this comment I'm about to make and bash me too. Fine. Getting a nose ring (not an earring) but a NOSE ring is different bc it is an outward ("in your face" if you will) mark directly and clearly foreign and NOT a subtle enhancement reflective of the natural anatomical beauty and motif of the face made by our Creator. Sadly, it IS symbolic of rebellion, maybe even MALICE towards wholesome and pure values which at very least are hopefully being aspired to! Even if one MAY be trying and wanting to be an example of such values out of love for them...this nose ring symbol says NOT.! It says NOT to yourself ...and NOT to others around you. See...people get sinned against; or hurt ...and then sin/or hurt in return and this is also what it "says". I do believe Derrick is perhaps a slick, very clever, instigator. He did NOT get the family money he planned for; wanted and it's been downhill ever since. A gold digger in the beginning maybe? Idk. Well... now they have $$ because of a bash-book (the world would of course love) that perhaps Derrick encouraged?? When they first married, he had really cooked teeth. A year or so in , he got the work done on them that he probably needed for years but did not have the funds....hmmm. Just saying ..

This is one of the most ridiculous, untrue videos I have ever heard. The problem has nothing to do with nose rings or pants. Please! Jill and Derek Dillard have made some awful claims against Jill's parents...All for money! The problem is the greed of Jill and her husband. To say it has anything to do with dress or jewelry (although that nose ring is awful), is just a lie and waters down the sin of Jill and Derek. I don't know if you actually lived up to the headline with something shocking as I stopped watching after the initial bunch of hooey you put out there. This channel is click bait and the poster does not know what they are talking about.

Wah wah. Another spoiled "adult" smashing her parents. It sounds controlling on the dad's part, but why would anyone expect he should be all excited about her obviously defiant actions and attitude. WHY doesn't Jill act how he wants her to ... obviously she thinks he should embrace her way of living. It appears to my mind, that SHE is the one doing damage to her entire family. But hey, a nose ring is a very important, attractive, useful thing. Used quite often just to piss others off. So worth ruining a relationship over. I guess.

Did you even read Jill’s book? You have no clue about Jill and the all the BS her parents put her through.

I appreciate your sarcastic approach to saying pretty much..Jill is being disrespectfully hurtful to her whole family that she so loved and stood by just a few short years ago. I still think Derrick is more the culprit here for this discord..not really Jill. Jill , if she does not ALREADY feel it (and will not admit it)... is going to be the sad one in time. This will happen slowly maybe. The proverb goes like this: " Teach and train up a child in the way that he should go , and when he is older , he /or she...will NOT depart form it". Operative word: older.

@@carolynholody9281 no I did not. No one knows what really goes on in a family. It's not very useful to publish family business as a general rule. Of course that's just my opinion. I appreciate you having your own opinion as well.

@@elizvan5758She is “older” yes, but not a child anymore! She is an adult!! Her father has no right to dictate to her what she can and or cannot do. She is a married woman, not a small child!
