@nandi7772 When you buy it from a chemist or pharmacy, it comes with a dropper you can use to take out the liquid and apply it to your head. and the 1ml point is marked on it

Cus the directions and studies recommend 2mls, you can either apply 2 mls in one go, or spread them out over 2 doses like the box recommends.

That's why you don't listen to 'doctors' on KZread. Just because someone has a license to be a doctor doesn't stop them from being uninformed in certain subjects. Everywhere else tells you to apply twice a day and you'll see faster results. Also I can't trust a doctor who's out of shape giving me advice on what and what not to do with my body.

I’ve read that the increase in hair growth from twice to once a day is 15-20% but for some people that’s not worth the trouble and/or increased side effects of twice daily use. It’s a case by case basis

How about twice a day every other day ? And other days just once ? That could help max it out I think without causing too much damage

When can you wash your hair?

My own hair density was very less as if i compare it to last year due to hair smoothing. To get back my hair I started using Cocconion anti hair fall kit by littleeextra and it worked in increasing hair thickness and growth. I would suggest if you use it then always cleanse your hair by diluting shampoo with some water before using as it works better that way. When you apply oil then heat it a bit and then apply. Apply it a minimum of once or twice a week. Use neem wood comb while combing your hair and use silicon scalp massager while shampooing to get remove dirt, sebum etc and it gives even better results.

This probably the best question. If your routine is working out let's say I apply this in the morning and workout in the afternoon of what was applied if you sweat will you lose what you had put on your scalp through the sweat? Do I have to worry about it breaking out my face ect? Can you also see faster results taking hair growth vitamins? It's been 2 days now and I'm starting to see baby hairs

@@Lee-1 Or just don’t stop using it? It states in the accompanying documentation that (just like every other drug, including finasteride) if you stop taking it, then the effects will go with it.

@@Lee-1 That’s how all the treatments go, finnestride, minoxidil, derma rolling, etc. unless you do a transplant but then it kills the follicles for good. It sucks but it’s the price you have to pay if you don’t want to lose it. It’s like brushing your teeth every day. If you don’t want to go through all the trouble then get a transplant, it’s just expensive.

The only issue is you have to hang your head back, apply, and pat it in until it dries. Just make sure it doesn't go anywhere else because hair will grow. Unfortunately, I've found out the hard way..😅 But I'll take it as my thin hairline is growing in nice and thick! Only product that has helped me hair grow...

“ if you look at the half life of MX”. Half life is 4 hours. So if you sleep for 7 hours why would you NOT want to re-apply since there is only half of the medicine left not he scalp.

There is two reasons in my opinion: first you didn't use it on time and second the brand of the minoxidil you are using sometimes some brands are not good changing brand can cause this problem

How does it effect the product if you’re just out of the shower and skin has been soaked with water for the last 20 minutes? Would it be more effective if your scalp is completely dry , say 30 minutes to an hour after your shower?

This is what I want to know as well. How long should we wait after showering until Minox should be applied in order for it to be absorbed into the scalp. Also, I think the Doctor misunderstood the question. We want to know if the scalp must be clean before applying minox if we applied minox the day before. This is how I understood it and also would like an answer.

You want the shedding it means it’s working new hairs are pushing out the old hair. So if you notice you’re getting more bald faster don’t worry it means it’s working. You have to go the full 100 days so just keep at it that’s how long it take new hairs to get stimulated grow and start showing I can guarantee by 3 months you’ll see hair if you did everything right

@@lightscameratamara not necessarily most people see a big improvement in 3 months and in 6 months all their hairs back. It’s a waiting game it sucks just keep up on the medication. The foam is used to get the quickest results. Once you get hair back you can ask your doctor to switch to minoxidil in pill form which will make hair grow everywhere for guys that’s okay we are already hairy. Taking a pill is much easier then doing the foam and waiting 4 hours before you can touch your hair. So many people give up though you just gotta keep up with it.

Try head and shoulders dandruff shampoo, stop using for a week while you treat with shampoo and return to use if itching stops. If itching returns well then maybe try the foam, or seek alternatives

And during my visit with my dermatologist doctor as she so much more improvement in my hair growth she switched my minoxidil 5% to minoxidil 10% so I just want to know is this a good decision by my doctor

I’m not a doctor but 10 percent is typically never needed. I think it’s very strange she put u on 10% especially since you have been responding so well with 5%. I personally would bet money that if u saw another dermatologist they would say 10% isn’t needed and to stick to the 5%. Not much evidence 10% is anymore helpful then 5% and it just increases chances for unwanted side effects. If I were you I would stick with 5%. After 1 hour 50% is smoked into the skin after 4 hours 75% so to be safe 4 hours. It’s a pain to try and fit this into your lifestyle of work and everyday activities. That’s why I started doing it once a day I’d shower first so I’d have a clean head then dry my head and apply id try to shower around 5-7pm then wait 4 hours before going to bed not to rub it all off.

Wrong, you CAN apply hair oil. I do it all the time. The Minoxidil is for the SCALP only, NOT for the hair. The hair OIL is for the HAIR, so as long as you rub the hair oil on your hair strands and not your scalp, you should be fine.

Technically monoxodil works for 18-22 hours per use so when you apply it in the morning as well, it only adds 2-6 hours of extra which isn't much. Its just a SLIGHT increase if you use it twice a day

Lol some companies that produce It like keeps recommend to apply it twice a day, that Just shows how you can't trust no one 100% about these products
