The Vikings got so much talent on both sides of the ball. They literally went on the road and played in a thousand degrees and still won by not playing that well. The defense made plays when it mattered

Kirk Cousins has always been an elite passer. He has his mess up but normally it’s the lines fault, or a miscommunication on the WRs part. Kirk has always been an elite QB just never on a super elite team. This is the most talented team he’s been on for sure.

Kirk, JJ, Thielen, and Cook. All ballers and elite. 3/4 are super underrated especially Adam! Adam has been on the higher part of the top 10 wrs in the league for a couple years now imo. He is just forgotten about and slept on because he’s not too flashy. He just plays his game. I love it.

Yea, they said on the broadcast that he hasnt lost a step which I was a little surprised about. The Offense did kind of struggle today but the D bailed them out and gave them more chances
MIN 5-1 and probably the best team in the NFC NORTH. Cousins, Cook, Jefferson and Theian were all on display today. This team can go along way if they remain healthy. Congrats on the win MIN 💪.

@@scott7621 Vikings D got 6 sacks, 2 INT, and a fumble recovery while holding a pretty potent offense to just 16pts. None of us fans are claiming we have an elite defense but today it's hard to argue they didn't show up. Also Teddy is far from a crappy backup, he's probably a top 5 backup in The NFL if not top 3.

Defense was great on both sides. Miami is one of the toughest places to play for visitors in the NFL because the visitor’s benches need to bring their own shade. This was a tough game for a while. After looking into the bench situation it’s not really a surprise that the bills lost here. Great way to go into the bye, Vikes

@Vikings fan 123. I love the Vikes but we are not a top 3 or even 4 team. I think there are plenty of teams with even losing records that could beat us on their turf on a given day. The Bill's, Chiefs, and Eagles are surely better. The Cowboys are damn good even though they lost to the Eagles. The Giants and Jets both look pretty good as well as the Ravens. We are in the top 10 for sure but I dont know about top 5.
We need to tighten up everything. We wouldn't make it through the first round of the playoffs playing like we are. 15 total yards in 25 minutes?

Yeah neither offense had any momentum, definitely both defenses held there grounds reasonably well. Defense ultimately wins games, so it was good to see Minnesota have good defense in this one, looking stronger each game too,.
If Tua plays, we win. If Tua doesn't play, we lose. It was like that last year too. We gotta appreciate him more

Good game to watch with 2 teams really playing hard to win. Both teams are good this year! 👍🍻 I wish my Green Bay Packers would only play like they wanted a win as much as these 2 teams did! They missed Ryan Wright’s 80 yard monster punt that the Dolphins return man had to run backwards after. Punters get no love, but he was fantastic on Sunday.

It pisses me off why the Vikings don't focus more on Adam thielen I love Justin Jefferson but we know that he's going to get double teamed on every route he runs every single one which means Adam thielen is always going to be getting one-on-one coverage and far more often than not thielen is able to beat the guy covering him so I really wish that we would design more plays to go to Adam thielen.

@@kenbagwell8551 he does when they put someone really good covering him however more often than not the opposing team is going to put their best corner on Justin Jefferson and they will give that corner help so usually Adam thielen will have their second or third best defensive back covering him and more often than not thielen can beat that player there are some secondaries that are stacked and in that situation go to whoever is open but I have seen time and time again where thielen is either wide open or has beaten the guy covering him but Kirk cousins is too focused on Justin Jefferson I don't have a problem with Kirk cousins throwing 15 balls to Justin Jefferson because even when he's covered he has the ability to still make the catch but it seems like Kirk cousins is too focused on Justin Jefferson and he is missing a lot of opportunities to throw it to Adam thielen for the easy completion.

@@muskyoxes I would agree if you have a good second and third best corner and or safety but when you look at the numbers that Justin Jefferson is putting up most teams will have to put their best corner on Jefferson and give that corner some help because Justin Jefferson is putting up better numbers than Randy Moss and Randy Moss is considered one of the best wide receivers to have ever played the game. Justin Jefferson is on Pace to break a number of receiving records this year I think in order to shut him down you either have to get a lot of pressure on Kirk cousins or have the best cornerback in the game to try and take him on one-on-one and hope for the best
The fact that all 3 of our QB's have had injuries caused by lack of protection shows that in the last 10 years our OL has shown no improvement whatsoever,how can a team constantly not draft even a half decent OL ffs

Well teddy wasn't actually hurt. He was put in concussion protocol by a random spotter that made up the reason for him to go into protocol. NFL just taxing Miami cause concussions are back in the news

Wright is the Player of the Game. His punts kept pinning MIA deep and they were facing an 85 yard march all day. Wright is definitely the unsung hero for this game.

Any QB would struggle doing his reads behind such an inconsistent offensive line unless he is an escape artist. There is still 11 games to go but injuries are piling up. December schedule looks scary.

Really impressed with how MN continues to find ways to win games. Yes the defense needs fine tuning, but they're coming up with big plays when it matters most. They'll be a very interesting team to watch as the season goes on.

@@Hippobottomless I don't know...they seem to be coming up with key turnovers at the end of games this year. Much like the Bears of a few years back when they won a ton of games unexpectedly. That's not usually a sustainable way of winning, but sometimes it lasts the whole season.

Offense was super inconsistent today but they were good when it mattered. Pretty impressive actually they just keep getting it done
After so many years of heartbreak it feels good to have a good solid start to a season with potential. Maybe not super bowl this year but more hope this year.

Idk man we get better every week. All KOC has to do is find out how to make Kirk perform outside of October/1PM games and we have serious chances. At the rate we're going we'll finish 15-2 or 14-3 with potential losses to the Bills and Giants. This is not last year's Vikings. The coaching change on offense has been huge, and this game showed me that Donatell isn't done yet. Everything worked on defense today. They showed up when it mattered. Keep this up and we might even beat the Bills, and if that happens nobody can deny us contender status.

@@DracoFire3000 2017 our hopes were high too. As a lifelong Vikings fan it is way too early to be talking about the Super Bowl. We have a good chance yes but even when we make it to the Super Bowl we are 0-4. We are too inconsistent and they have to change that. I do like oconnell he might be pushing us in a good direction. Way too early to tell.

Mike Gesicki is hilarious man. It's too bad they don't utilize him how they used too, the guy is a STUD.
Waddle is great but even looking at the end of the first half, he’s gotta minimize the mistakes. They have been costly for the team.
Good win for the Vikings, but think of the many fans that have to deal with heart attacks when watching them play. Try to finish off the opponent in quicker fashion for their sake please.
Last year we lost these one score games. I'll take the win.
As a Vikings fan, of course I love seeing them win, and I love that they're 5-1. I honestly did not expect that. BUT, I need to see a statement win, (sorry, week 1 doesn't count), or just string a couple games with more consistent play before I can tout them as "one of the best in the NFC". I'd even feel alot better if they would've been more competitive in the Eagles game. However, they are 5-1, JJ is a beast, and we are 3-0 in the division so far this year! Go Vikes! *Dolphins fan, when you guys get healthy you'll be fine! Hill is a monster and really hope Tua comes back strong! Do us a favor and beat up the Packers!!!!!

@Jd Bly. Some of that is probably true but he has been a Viking long enough and no more excuses. As you know the guy is awful on primetime TV. As was so bad against the Eagles it was ridiculous. The guy is good overall I guess but nowhere near an ELITE QB in the NFL. Let's face it, He just isnt and no way we will win a SB with him. The defense would have to be the best defense in the league for us to win a SB with him as QB and even then he would probably throw 3 picks because it is primetime

@DakahriGT. I didnt say Stafford was an Elite QB. I said he was great last year and he was. The game winning drive in the Superbowl was as good as a performance as any QB in the league could do. Having Kupp to throw to helped but Stafford made some awesome throws. You dont even make it to a Superbowl unless the QB is having a very good year.

It’s a great Sunday when the Vikings win and Packers get beat.
Vikings are playing well in the 4th quarter of games this year. Good to see. Make big plays when needed. They still need to improve in a lot of areas. But they clawed and scratched their way to 5-1. If you're a vikes fan, you just want to see them put together a complete game in all 3 phases and the only game that happened in was the first game against the Packers. If they can put it all together and be consistent for 4 quarters, they can win a lot of games. I hope the coaching staff uses this bye week to take a deep dive and self-scout. I will say, the run defense has steadily been improving week to week. they only gave up 73 on the ground this week and 78 last week. I was worried Mostert might have a monster game, but the Dline has been rising up. Work out some of these kinks and lulls and you have a dangerous Vikings team. 5-1 at this point is about as good as you can hope for. #SKOL

How strange to see the Vikes Defense perform better than the Offense. I'd like to see both play a full 4 quarters but the offense did pick it up. Both O-lines were the worst part of this game which allowed for an enjoyable sack-fest. SKOL

I wouldn't say the defense played better then the offense. You do realize the D gave up way over 400 yards. The D made some big plays at the right moments which won it for us, thank God

If Thompson plays the entire game we probably lose. The only thing stopping the dolphins was literally themselves with all those flags. I’m happy for the win, but ed donatell is starting to get on my nerves. He wasn’t blitzing it felt like until the second half. He doesn’t seem to utilize Danielle hunter and smith right. They had good games, but that was only later on. The offense was pretty much non existent outside of two drives, and then they had two lucky big plays to get them scores. I’m glad we won, but this was one of those games I feel like where we get destroyed if the other team is healthy. I think the Vikings can beat any team on any given night, but that defense needs to be (not elite) but at least top 15 for the Vikings to have a chance to make some noise in the playoffs. They have the pieces, but ed donatell smh.
