Some people have an idea that malayalam film industry started to make good movies recently which is totally wrong. Malayalam film industry was always a class apart but it only got the recognition it deserves recently and thanks to ott platforms for that.

Totally agree.. malayalam has been always great, starting from 70s.. we had legendary film makers in every decades.. In bollywood, parallel movies and mainstream movies are totally different stream.. but in malayalam they goes hands in hand. we always had class and mass.. for eg, you never see a KHAN in a movie with good depth.. but here we can see mammootty and mohanlal in those types of movies too.. Its because malayalees don't accept crap.. they always need best because of their high intellectual levels compared to other parts of India. Malayalam has been always great.. but only now it got the visibility it deserves.. and if any non malayali reading this: guys please premam is not among the list of good malayalam movie.. its overrated and will not be even in a list of average movies :(

I will say there was a dip in quality around late 2000's to early 2010's and it acted as a transition period from being a more family related, drama movies to being a high production value movies which explore soo many unique ideas. We always had good movies.. but they were all confined in our common life, family drama and all. It was a specific style of movies. I would say we branched out a lot and started trying and experimenting different ideas recently

If you think malayalam industry started making good movies very recently, you are wrong. Malayalam industry always had amazing content.. But it was only recently the industry got its recognition!! Covid was one of the big reason for people to discover!!

Both Basil and Tovino vlidated what I was thinking after watching the movie, that the movie and characters still work even without the superpowers. I think this is a lesson in how to make good superhero movies in general. In my opinion Minnal Murali is the best superhero movie to come out of India. Hope it gets a sequel with a much larger budget.

The director mentioned in anither interview that he had a few threads for the sequel in mind, but only would do it if he feels it would surpass the original one.

The " Krrish " franchise was 1 of the best superhero series in the Indian Film Industry, now Minnal Murali is gonna be a BANGER or is already one. Good job team Minnal Murali!! 👏🏻👏🏻

There were times when indian movies just meant bollywood for the outer world, and then came kgf , bahubali , Drishyam like movies . The rest is history . Time has proved that malayalam, tamil, telugu and kannada (the south indian film industry ) has grown a lot since the beginning , that even bollywood itself has started to create remakes of south indian movies for the quality of the movies that they produce.

Priyanka is a super star indeed but but we have better actresses in India ...

Malayalees craze for producing content oriented and realistic cinemas cannot be outmatched by any industry in the country..... am so proud that even after the hindutva terror groups in kerala vandalized the set of minnal murali they are able to complete the movie and to showcase it to a global audience. After producing the first 3rd movie in india.... it's a goosebumps for malayalees to set foot in a different genre which will be compared to western super heros. Proud to be a malayali.

This is such a proud moment for all mallus out there. It actually supriced me when basil mentioned about him working on the movie for a year or two by learning online was beyond everything. Usually people have the attitude of knowing everything with a very little knowledge. But basil made sure to educate himself and learn as much as possible. Even if it is a success or not to do it with perfection. Truely amazed to see the hardwork you have put in and the team as well. Malayalam movies truly deserves the limelight and finally at a point where people actually got to notice malayalam films and all the best to the team. I hope it is a grand success.

@@naveen4753 She is not a bad actress bro. Just watch her performance in Barfi, Bajirao Mastani and Fashion. I don't claim that she is the best actress in bollywood but she is definitely more than average. And definitely Basil and Tovino are good at what they do and no less than PC. The thing that might excites them would ne the fact that a global star like Priyanka is promoting their film.

It was proud to see such a movie is made in india.... I saw marvel and dc and haven't seen a movie who has a script like these.. Where reasons of being a villan and hero is defined.. Dc has to made a joker movie so that people know his motive and to cash on joker legendary staus.. But minnal murali where able to define motive with convictions of hero and villian in a single movie..this is not done by marvel or dc too..🙏🙏🙏kudos to malyalam cinema for giving us these gem of a movie.. We want our indian superheros league..
