The best DB we've had since Troy left...and that says a lot. Love his game been watching him since he was in High school in NJ. He's a game changer.

@trayvonn davis I think you could MAYBE make that argument if it we're talking talent alone, but it's a team sport and Minkah has a way better supporting cast and that will help his numbers way more. Steelers have one of the best front seven in the league and even the other DBs like Haden helped Minkah a lot by tipping a lot of balls. Not to say Minkah didn't earn it but it really helps to have a great teammates. Steelers D is just flat out scary. They'd have been even better if they weren't always covering up for one of the worst offenses in history.

@@ggg21201 I love Jamal Adams but That's a great point Fitzpatrick got alot of his picks from tipped passes by his team while jamal's came from his own production so Fitzpatrick is more a team player

@@jackdavis4240 Don't get me wrong man. That doesn't at all make Jamal Adams a better player, but it does mean that it's not an easy 1 to 1 comparison. Fitzpatrick had plenty of production he created himself, but it also can't be denied that he's in a great situation and he makes the best of it to his credit. There are a lot of players in this game that will probably never get the credit they deserve because they were never on the right team or system, and others that get too much credit.

@@jackdavis4240 Don't forget you can't measure his talent on what the stats alone say. His football IQ is freaking OFF THE CHARTS which is a major reason Pittsburgh's secondary improved so much when he joined the team. He immediately became an incredible leader, reading offenses and directing the other guys around. A great example of his sharp mind is the pick 6 against Indy. He read the offense and immediately knew they were going to pass, and exactly where the ball was going to be. If you look closely (it's much easier to see on the full field view replay) that the second the ball was snapped he immediately sprinted in the direction the ball was thrown, and had one of the best picks of the entire season IMHO. There's no hesitation, they weren't able to trick him and draw him forward (which is what was happening before he got there), instead he immediately took off and snagged it.

Man last year was so crazy but one thing I never really noticed because I didn’t see his Miami highlights but he’s so much happier in Pittsburgh this man been eating and he’s a star on a grade fucking A defense, I will never stop being thankful for this trade. Now here we are 8-0 Minkah recovered a fumble and continues to be a problem for these offenses. I hope they get it this year man if there is any defense in this league right now that deserves a Bowl it’s this one. Love Pittsburgh no matter how many near heart attacks they give me 😂😂

It’s crazy because if you see his highlights with the dolphins he seems like he’s celebrating by himself and making plays for himself but the highlights with the Steelers it’s like he makes plays for his boys. With the dolphins he’s like “yeah I just did that” but with the Steelers he’s like “yo you guys see me just do that”? It’s like a different energy.

Also, at the time Ben had just been hurt, and Pittsburgh was looking absolutely abysmal. Everybody thought they would have a Top 10 draft pick. Ironically, Minkah joining Pittsburgh turned our defense around so much that we ended up going 8-8 (obviously not good, but several of those games were all within 2-4 points and all but 3 of their losses were by a touchdown or less) and they ended up with a lower pick than it seemed like it would be at the time.
