You did an amazing job, Rosy. The Ministry looks amazing so far, hopefully you can get the funds to continue.

I actually quite like the set Lego produced but wow you blew it out of the water with yours! Super impressed with that build, I'm hopeful that you are able to continue this one on.

I think it’s easier for you to discredit the original set because you are not restricted by any rules or processes that Lego designers would (such as piece etc), of course their sets will never 100% be accurate or to the standard of the film.

I agree with you that the official set for the Ministry of Magic could be lots better, though I get that it was designed as such for kids to play and to make it more affordable to parents. That daid, the only reason I would buy it would be to make yours which is so much better!

Great job! I too, have noticed that the Lego MOM set is quite lacking and at $100, it shouldn't be. Excellent modification.

Но я соглашусь - его действительно можно было бы улучшить, если бы Lego больше вкладывали душу в каждый набор ( как они это делали с сериями the Hobbit, Lord of the rings и Pirates of the Caribbean в своё время), а не думали о каждом лишнем долларе.

Maybe MOC it with the mini figs for the Dumbledore v Voldemort dual for a great easy second video. I can’t wait to see what you do with department of mysteries battle in the Death Chamber! They should have made an 18+ ministry. That would have been better than the hogwarts express.

I mean yeah if one is willing to design a set that will cost at least $300, it will look really good compared to a set that costs $100. If you wanted to make a point, you should have restricted yourself to the same piece count as the official set. Otherwise it’s not comparable.

When I heard that Lego was doing a Ministry of Magic set I figured that it was going to be one of the massive $400 sets. How else could you do a grand setting like that justice? Needless to say Lego indeed did not, and I was very disappointed with what they released. Thank you for finally making this set live up to its potential.

The set fountain is based off the Deathly Hallows Voldemort takeover version where it's been replaced with a wizard standing/sitting on a throne/dais made of muggles - that's why it looks so different. I'd be curious how you'd tackle that version in the future.

What options are there to help the ministry build?

Very inspirational build can't wait to see it finished, I bought the set just for the parts intending to build my own version too. Your right this set is worse than usual, most only need a few adjustments to make them a lot better but this one needs a complete overhaul.

When I first saw the Ministry of magic before it was available I thought it was my favourite set of the year but now I own it I honestly feel my expectations were too high, I wasn’t even that excited when it arrived. at least I got the Hermione staircase promo

I love It to be big, like to be D Alley as this is one of the Main Buildings, beside Castle.

5:00 that’s 3,500 studs? Seriously?! I don’t know why but my initial estimates are like.. 10-20% of that amount, wow

I disagree with you so much the ministry of magic I think is a brilliant set for 90 pounds if Lego Harry potter set was 350 pounds people just would not buy them and there would be no more Harry potter Lego h would be the worst sometimes sets maybe a bit smaller then YOU would want but it is at a affordable price wich adults and child can get ! great moc !

Но lego могли бы чаще вкладывать душу в свои наборы, как они это делали в золотую эру 2010-2014 гг. Например, золотая статуя волшебника могла быть именно золотого цвета металлик (хром), а не матово-золотистой. Они могли бы добавить чуть больше элементов зелёного огня в камин. Это не сильно увеличило бы стоимость; можно было бы сделать 2 камина хотя бы . Не хватает ещё статуи «Магия- сила»(Magic is Might).

This is an excellent mock and great video. You really do need two sets to make it not so bare. Check out my HP lego collection on my channel. 9ft long display on top and 5 other sections on 3 shelves connected.
