Devegowda, Chidambaram, Manamohan singh speak good English...but Jayalalitha was exceptionally well at wordings and accent, even she was more informative while she was speaking and even reports says that she topped the state by securing First Rank in her Tenth exam and She was Voracious reader of books, In her home there were 8500 Books were found, this shows How Brilliant she was.. really Missing that brave lady...

Srinivas N Try to say am Indian feel to say am Indian Talking in english is not a proud thing KTR have the 2 degrees master of science and biotechnology from pune university and he is a master of business administration from Newyork university and he is IT professional also and there is no new thing and there is nothing to feel proud feel proud yourself when you did something and we (Andhra) people also feeling proud that in hyderabad IT field was founded by Chandra babu naidu. He done the first step and now the KTR and KCR increasing or developing that field . I respect KTR sir and he indeed has delivered a very good speech in English but I think...English should not be used as an yardstick to judge a leader's rationatlity. There are numerous leaders world over who don't know english yet they command supremacy..vladimir putin of russis..benajamin netanyahu of israel are to name a few. So people making fun of modiji..lalu..mulayam for not knowing english should understant that english is not their mother toungue...and nothing wrong in not knowing a language which is not one's mothertougue

Most North Indians (atleast the ones who went to a fairly decent school) speak like this actually. Nothing to brag about the ability to fluently speak the language of our past colonizers but they do have a more neutral accent compared to the thick, native tongue influence, South Indians have when speaking English. No hate, just an observation.

Probably dislikers are the one who didn’t understand ministers speech ..

Mohammed Abubakar Khan I respect KTR sir and he indeed has delivered a very good speech in English but I think...English should not be used as an yardstick to judge a leader's rationatlity. There are numerous leaders world over who don't know english yet they command supremacy..vladimir putin of russis..benajamin netanyahu of israel are to name a few. So people making fun of modiji..lalu..mulayam for not knowing english should understant that english is not their mother toungue...and nothing wrong in not knowing a language which is not one's mothertougue

Speaking Good English is not an extraordinary milestone but the content of his speech made it to respectable level

This person is really impressive with his communication skills...

It's not just the language and the accent. It's the content and the point of view he puts forward with such eloquence.

Not only English. The language is not that important. It is that he has a great Command over the subject matter, policies and makes a good sales pitch and says that "we will be a part of your growth story" etc. In TN, Karnataka, Maharashtra the politicians are extremely arrogant

Knowing english does really help if u r in STEM subjects because all the new research comes out of english speaking world and some words are reserved to pass on a specific meaning which do not translate well to local languages. Today english is a utility language.
