It's been awhile since I made any human figurines, and I'm glad to say that I still retained my skills HAHA. It's one of those things that you'll never forget eh? 😊
I used to paint the face for my figurine ( • Polymer Clay Figurines ), but I've started using polymer clay for the faces and now you can see how I do it! I only really use paint when I have to, like the splatter on the figurine's pants 😆
Hope this gives you an insight of how I make human figurines, and maybe gives you an idea of how you can use some of this skills for your own figurines! 💖

I made some minor "mistakes" for this figurine which...really isn't a big of a deal but I thought I should write them down anyway HAHA.
On 1:12 I would have put the metal rod in between the clay that joins the legs at 0:59 instead. I completed forgot about the metal rod that helps to strengthen the polymer clay head to the body 😬and added it after, which is a bit more of a hassle but to me is a huge requirement to make sure it doesn't break.
Then on 2:52 where I made an indent for the mouth, I should have done it on 2:40 when i was making indent for the eyes, before I pre-bake it! Fortunately, because it was pre-baked and I could still make an indent, it didn't turn out to be a huge problem but save yourself the trouble and stress guys HAHAHA.

Hello handxmade! You have wonderful handicrafts! May I ask for your advice? I would like to make a video on how to paint small pottery. But I'm a complete noob and I don't know which camera is needed for this, etc. Could you recommend a suitable camera and what else is needed for this? Or can you advise some suitable online guide about such video filming?

It means you can bake them halfway, don’t have to bake fully!! Usually I do that to save time so I can work on it quicker 😊
