I totally understand what you mean about friends that don’t really be friending (at least not on the same level you do). Honestly the best thing I could do for myself is fall back. See if they notice. See if they miss you. See if you miss them. Then reevaluate your friendship. Am I toxic??🤔😦 oh well lol

I ghosted my own friend cuz she just dnt be caring. Now she messaged 3 times after no immediate response from me. But didn’t bother to call? Yeah she getting left in 2021 😆

Ive been doing this. Alternating between twists and braids. I have not parted my hair in almost 3 months lol. I just wash and condition/deep condition, apply leave in while wet, let it dry and retwist/rebraid with more products. My hair pissed me off so its on probation until further notice 😂

I literally bought like 20 headbands of every color and 50 scunci’s of every color. Crazy thing is I don’t have any hair. 🤗I got them for all my wigs. Its gonna be some updos braids, buns and pig tails all winter.

I feel like a lot of people our age are flaky when it comes to friendship, it almost feels like if you're not in a romantic relationship, it will be hard to get connections in which you can safely share and be supported and give that back. its sad. it was the same when i was living in berlin so i think its everywhere. also what goes into that is that people are always working...? idk, but it does suck not to be able to find community. you should definitely tell your friends how you feel about them not coming to you Will, if I were your friend I would want to know how you feel. that will also show you how they truly feel about your relationship.

That’s the main thing many people aren’t doing, washing their hair 😩. Hair attracts too much environmental stuff to not keep it clean 🧼

Ask your friends to visit you. I have a friend that recently moved to Cali and I didn't want to visit because I wanted to give them space to make new friends and enjoy getting settled in. But as soon as they asked me to come and visit I booked a flight 3 that same day for about 3 weeks out. And we had a blast. I had the time and money to go I just didn't know if they were ready to host yet.

"Do you feel like you visit your friends or you do so much for your friends but they don't really have the capacity to do that for you?".... YESSS that has been my issue for years now and its been bugging me recently how much you're expected visit yet no one visits you!

Invite them and then see what happens. Sometimes that is what people are waiting for because they don't wont to impose. Now if no one takes you up... you have something deeper to look at.

Best thing you can realize is that a one friend cannot meet all needs. Certain people are in your life for certain things, and that’s for you to figure out and set boundaries!

I stop visiting my hometown. My friends & family is just social media & phone communication. Some ppl literally stuck & don't wanna leave, but not my problem lol.

Oh my Lawd, I feel you 100% on having friends when the relationship is unbalanced... I know it sounds cliché BUT, it's less drama to keep your circle small. And you'll never know what's going on with your besties on the east-coast coming to visit if you don't ask! I felt the same way & come to find out they thought I was too busy for THEM!

I just take my mines out every 2 weeks and redo them because if any type of water touch my scalp,my roots would poof and shrink so bad that my twist would be standing on end while untwisting at the root.

I feel that way about friends and family. Like I got my first apartment on my own and my family hasn’t even thought to visit me once. 🥴😒

I know I’m not the only one doing these box braid super high talking back to will like he can hear me

Aww I live in the Phoenix area and yea a lot of ghosting happens here not sure why. My friends that moved away I try to visit when I can. Usually they invite me and we explore their new city. Or we meet in a different city like Vegas or LA and spend time there. 💙

Sometimes people are busy, or it's not financially possible for them. Best thing to do is just have a conversation tho. No one can read anyone's mind :P

I feel the same way about making friends in a new place. I moved to seattle about 3 years ago and some of the people here are so rude. Aw Will don't be sacred to ask your friends to visit you. They may not know it bothers you that you have to go out your way to see them. But I understand we at that age we're trying to navigate friendships long distance and otherwise it can be a lot to balance.
