Hey Phly! About 3 years ago you made a video about the AMX-30B2 BRENUS and how it was one of the worst MBTs in the game. Well today the BRENUS has had quite a glow up, as it now boasts a pretty nice array of tools at the comfortable BR of 8.3, such as thermals, a laser rangefinder, IRCM, and a pretty nice lineup to back it up. So I encourage you to take a look at this underappreciated vehicle again (day 11)

@@destroyerarmor2846 I’m guessing you’ve never played France. It’s one of the best tech tree’s in the game, pretty large tech tree for a minor country, also has the firepower and mobility and even armor from time to time. The Brenus has a very effective APS and a lot of ERA, wich works incredibly well at the br it’s sitting.

@@jeddelse9036 Only when downtiered, and even then everything else at 8.3 already fires apfsds or some other shell that the ERA doesn't do anything against, it's barely enough to stop 105 heat. It's no longer dreadful, like it was at 8.7, but let's not pretend it's amazing either. At least it's better than the m48a2 g2 at 8.3, but that's really not saying much.

@@Eonymia Even in uptiers, the lack of armor can make it surprisingly survivable, even against the nastiest sabot you can face. But it faces 7.3s more than 8.3s because 7.3 is such a hot BR at the moment thanks to all the PT-76-57s

I think I'd much rather use the SK-105. The Brenus doesn't really have anything to make up for its lack of... well basically anything good. As for the SK-105A2, the gen 3 thermals and 4 second autoloader make it potent at range

I would much rather call it an "APHESH" round... It acts more like HESH but has the Armour Piercing and HE filler

How is/was the Type-62?

6:19 - One of the little nice bits is that .50's mean it's also an AA threat, as this shows. Don't be afraid to BRRRT at planes because even one of those is enough to ruin a flyer's day.

Sure, this thing looks like the Hot Wheels of the T-54/55. But miniatures collectors are being teased - where are the BMD-1, 2, and 3? Where is that cutie patootie, the FV-101 Scorpion? Actually, an 80 km/h tracked vehicle would be pretty cool. The point is... if no armour is best armour and low tier is fun tier, surely small tonk is best tonk? Day 47, probably: Take the Scimitar, the last Supermarine, out for a spin. You got them quad 30mms, you got 24 chances to find out if AP rockets do anything, but mainly you have classic plane for blowy up and shooty down shenanigans.

But I do agree, so I offer up this for the phrase: _"Smol Tonk, is Stronkest Tonk"_ ☺️ Cuz honestly, how the hell did he bounce those couple rounds?! lmao Dunno if this applies to tonkettes, though, since they seem to be too easily crew-killed... Though, the Wiesel seemed to do well enough in Phly's hands. (vs that WWII Italian squeezy-toy, where he died quite a few times lol) (bonus derp phrase: _"Smol Tonks: HLOD YOUR GROUND!!!"_)

It’s basically a T-55A without the apdsfs round and completely miniaturized. It’s like they shot it with a shrink ray.

Well, the armor is good enough to be save from most autocanons your enemies will point at you at that BR, as long as you keep your front in their direction, ofc x) I love most light tanks, but this one is just ok imo, cause the turret is super slow AND it has terrible depression xD

Yay you played the most recent tank I’ve gotten! I never see people play it and I think it’s a really fun tank and definitely confuses people who think it’s a T-54.

I have been grinding towards this for a while, still haven't gotten it, but now I get to see some replays. I really liked it in world of tanks.

There isn't a KZreadr out there who fills my room with as much laughter as Phly does.

Its a cardboard but at least the Dushka can shoot down plane and the nuke round is perfect for sideshots. Alas,the terrible turret traverse is what really killed this tank performance. Still,i bought a talisman for it since its a tank i can comfortably take into rank V matches due to its ambush capability and fun fact,if you lose a commander,the Duskha still can be used for some reason or another.

Sadly the lamp decor isn't illuminated! And my real problem with this tank is that its the only 6.7 tank in the tree, so u have to run it with 6.3s or lower stuff. And on higher B.R.s u have more capable light tanks, but I try very hard to like it!

This is the Chinese Light Mountain tank isn't it? Basically a Type 59 that was put on a massive diet so it could be operated in the mountainous terrain of China.

I love how fire in Warthunder is the tanker's friend - if the tank is on fire, nothing bad will most likely happen for the next 15-20s, you can reload twice, drive around, then extinguish in what, 3-4s? Then burn again for a long time, then extinguish again no problem at all. No sense of urgency, because, well, fire is pretty much harmless and it doesn't matter that high velocity 88mm shell enters your engine compartment demolishing it. BTW IRL that engine would be out of chassis and even with explosive filler, the nose of the shell would have a good chance to get to the crew.

The type 62 was designed for mountainous regions of southern China, and was widely used in Vietnam during the China-Vietnam conflicts of 1979, While facing small arms fire it was adequate but was easily destroyed by anti tank guns and RPGs

I love the Type-62, I rushed to get it, then did horribly with it. The HEAT round doesn't do enough and though the filler round is powerful, it can't punch through armor well. I run it far better now, but still struggle with it but it's fun!

Day 133: Phly, you should play the Hawk III Chinese fighter; 900lbs of bombs in a biplane at 1.0 that you can dogfight in after dropping. Totally balanced.

I know a lot of people say that BR-365A is a better 85mm shell, but I have always preferred BR-367 for its superior penetration and ballistic capabilities. It may have significantly less filler, but it is more than enough to do the job, and the extra penetration really helps, especially in an uptier. I've had a LOT of luck with it on tanks like the T-44 and this one. The Type 62 is an amazing little tank, and I really hope we get to have the upgraded versions In the game soon. The Type 62-I and Type 62G would be amazing additions to the Chinese TT.

The first time I played that map, I turtled just like that in that same spot, my squad mate came almost clear across the map in a heavy(don't remember what but slow as hell) and flipped me back over just in time for the match to end.
