Great Video Travis, looks like that mini saw could definitely be handy in the wood yard! I’ve really been thinking about the last pod cast and the little pieces of wood for smoking!🤔 There might be more to that! Stay Safe, Continue Stacking, Keep Cuttin!🪵🪵🪵🪵

Agreed, there's value to a mini saw and they're not too spendy. For sure there's worth in little pieces of wood, feel free to reach out to Jim or Ken to ask them. Thanks again for your support, Chad. Keep cuttin'!

Travis great video. I haven't really thought about renting anything out. That's could be a way to make some extra money. As long as people took care of things it would be ok. I've got to get some wood bunks built to start storing firewood. That little saw looks handy It definitely has a purpose. Glad the package got delivered no issues. Thanks for everything Keep it between the ditches

A lot of people who rent equipment don't take care of it, so it may be a wash. There's always something to do. Hoping you can find good uses for your new mini saw. Keep cuttin'!

Those little saws are available which take 20 volt dewalt batteries. A lot of people have trouble with either the propietary batteries or the charger. Yes this adds cost but i think it would be worth it, especially if you already have batteries. I agree its very handy. Wood with bugs in it goes on top of the stack here as well as the crooked ones The robins and bluejays will clean up the bugs in no,time

Yes, Daniel is correct - here in the PNW we have OSHA approved Chaco sandals that are designed to look cool but 'protecting' your toes ;) Good eye on checking out my footware, semi dangerous but more so with that log coming down on my feet - ha. Get that mini saw and use it - they're fun. Keep cuttin' J. Andre!

In a sense I do rent out my equipment but I go with it. Sometimes I will cut/split for people at their property and charge a fee depending on how much I have to do. Spray Bifen XTS around your trees near your wood stacks. It kills and repels all those wood boring insects. Fun show, thanks.

I dont rent out stuff, i let folks borrow it but i always say yeah let me run it so if it breaks its my fault, I have used chicken wire one 3 sides of my wood shed to hold the wood shed on 3 sides, and wood that has developed bugs, dawn dish soap and water in a spray bottle kills em all. The oak boring bugs is what ive had problems with, ive found that removing bark when wood is green from the oak pc eliminated bugs, as well as getting it off the ground and covered and drying right away. In my experience a dead oak limb that has the boring beetles/grubs that comes with the tree wood load, those pcs, need to be immediately picked out cuz they spread to the good logs/limbs especially if in the rain/ on the ground for a while as oak starts to rot instantly albeit very slow. Either way it becomes attractive real estate for bugs fast, and they can turn oak into powdery swiss cheese

That's a good perspective re renting v. lending out equipment/tools. And interesting how you approach bugs in your wood pile. We all learn from each other. Thanks again. Keep cuttin'!

@travisdoesfirewood theres tons of youtube videos for dawn dishsoap bug killer, its pretty safe for the environment and no nasty chemicals residue on firewood, I think the soap cracks, or suffocates them thru the exo skeleton, One year i bought 60 or 70 dollars of yellow jacket traps, had many underground nests in the wood sheds, like you couldnt sell wood with out a deathwish, Well those traps caught like 6 wasps. But a homade trap with a cake pan of dish soap water and a hotdog nailed to a board over the water, with the hotdog just a half inch above the water level caught thousands.

I have tried the meat and dish soap in a pan of water trick before, seemed to work OK. I prefer to go the natural route as much as a I can, for sure. Thanks for adding your experience!

I can’t imagine renting a $100 tool would make sense to anyone. I rent a splitter once a year to process around 3 cords. That makes sense because the $100 it costs dodges the maintenance upkeep and storage on something I use once a year.
