mini Moto Snow Ride (Disaster)
In this video, I take my mini moto up the mountain after a huge snowstorm to test how it does. This is a 2023 Honda Monkey and we are doing extreme off-road in the snow!

Lol it usually goes straight up.
That was certainly not a boring video. Good times! It was also a good learning experience. Error on the side of caution. Honda Monkey is an awesome little machine. You are kind of awesome for getting out there and doing the thing. Best wishes and thank you.

Awesome job on the road my friend…and showed a lot of what the monkey can do!
Bought my 2023 Monkey in June 2023 and just ordered a set of rear shocks from Man in the box because of bottoming. Also installed a center stand from T-Rex racing which is a god send and servicing so much easier. Like the videos by the way I am 80 and have been ridding for 64 years and at my age this is just right.

Thats awesome! I hope I am riding at 80. I think I am going to do both those things real soon.
“Drives in pond” deeper than I expected!! LMAO
Brilliant, that is going above and beyond to give us a laugh. Thank you. 😂

Fantastic
Im a brand new rider with a monkey, today I complained about how hard it is to start uphill. I’ll eat my words 😂
Ha ha, I need to see more of this. Great!!
impressive it made it as far as it did

I think with different tires, it could have done much better.

@@Boonies_adventures Hello, boy from the Snowy Boonies. I hope you managed to warm up after this crazy trip. Another very nice video! You take us once again to discover the capabilities of this superb little machine, and we grit our teeth at each of your slides (while we are warm and safe😂). The cliffs seem close when you manage to stabilize your bike. You are doing with your monkey what I would hardly dare attempt out of pure survival instinct if I found myself in this kind of situation by mistake 🤣) Certainly, with all-terrain tires, many obstacles could indeed have been overcome, but that's it, It's fascinating to see what you can do with this original Monkey without modifications, as it came from the factory. A real Honda monkey! A real performance! Thanks! Give us more, please! (well that's easy to ask, when it's not me who takes the risks😉)

This channel is so good man
Brrr ! Quel cauchemar ! Je sens que je ne vais pas en dormir de la nuit...
That was quite an adventure!😄I would consider buying or fabricating a set of Crashbars for that Honda Monkey - although i have no idea if it's possible to attach such thing to it. But if it is, i would also fabricate something to attach a couple of skates to it, just in case we needed to use the Monkey on the snow. (of course a pair of wheels with proper dirt tires could be better but that would require to disassemble the bike now and then😇) When you entered that deep water poddle and the bike drowned, i thought: «That deepness was not expected! He might have to push the Monkey down the mountain now...😬» But then you came out of it and started the bike!! Awesome!!😆 Well, of course all that freezing water in your boots had to produce some consequences. Next time, stop before entering a poddle, throw a rock to various distances into it, if the depth isn't much the splash will denounce it safe to cross over.😊 I bid you a good recovery (with not much pain i hope), keep moving and massaging your legs and feet, don't go "crazy" on the painkillers, lots of rest, and watch good movies!✌😉

Thanks for watching! The crash bars is a great idea and no doubt I should have done something wiser like throw the rock lol! Will do next time!
こんなバリバリのオフロード走行するなんてびっくり。 タイヤの径が足りない気がするが・・・。
Reminds me of riding the snowmobile trails years ago when I was a kid. Get Knobby tires, front and back and you'll have a lot better traction. Good thing you pushed it out! Good thing it was 50 degrees. Honda reliability is right. I know you mentioned not having the power to turn the knobbies, but it's the only way you're going to get through stuff like that. Glad you got back ok without frostbite crazy man. LOL! Enjoy the ride bud.

@@Boonies_adventuresnot sure how deep the knobby tires are but for snow/ice we used to put sheet metal screws into our tires. The handling is amazing but the bad thing is you can’t ride on the road with the screws on.
That looks so fun. Thanks for that!

While coming down, you can't use either brakes because, whether it front braking or rear braking, it will always slide sideways, what do you do then? Maybe just put it on first gear and hope it goes straight?

Stage 3 😂
You have the patience of a saint! Question: have you encountered any issues not running a skid plate? My fiancee and I just bought a Monkey for her to ride, and that tiny exposed header has me very nervous for trail riding. Virtually all of the available options mount to the bottom of the engine, though, which I don't love.
@Boonies_adventures

I have not actually and have ridden several thousand miles of rocky forest road. The kick stand mount is what will catch constantly and your exhaust pipe will take some abuses on the bottom, but I think the short wheel base really helps with this.

@@Boonies_adventures Ah okay, interesting! We can live with some kickstand mount abuse. Any trouble with catching the O2 sensor? Do you run a guard? The factory one is pretty flimsy of course and I have heard of z50 owners accidentally bending or even ripping them out off-road.

I have not changed a single thing from stock on this bike yet. I haven't really had any trouble with it catching on anything but the kickstand thankfully. @@cammalamma6039
