Great video. Beautiful Norway I' ve been there 🙏 I have the same Monkey and did allready 21000 kilometers with a hugh smile from ear to ear . Its all about the journey and the fun you have, not the destination ! Greetings from the Netherlands everyone ❤️🙏
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. The Norwegian countryside is stunning and it’s great to see a stock monkey with no stupid noisy exhaust fitted. Regards warren 🇬🇧

Back in 2019 i bought the new banana yellow one....there were no real after marked parts yet, only the Yoshimura rs3.....well i bought that thing to but holy moly what a load of noise right into my helmet 🙊 its nice for 15 minutes but its way more fun with the stock exhaust
My god, this is the most peaceful, awesome video of a man, a motorcycle, and an epic voyage. I love it. I've wanted a banana-yellow monkey for just such a trip in Utah, myself. Awesome work.
It's difficult to add anything more. I watched your movie with satisfaction - Honda Monkey in use, your adventure and beautiful nature around. Thanks Torvald!
Just goes to show ...who needs a big heavy and expensive BMW to go on a 1.class trip ?? exelent video !!! Loved every minute ... Godt gået Torval !!! og tak fra en Norge fan... især Hedmark
Please keep your videos about the ride like this one, great video of the beauty of the trip.

Awesome adventure, appriciate the effort in filming 🤟🤟
Amazing scenery and camera work I hope to see more videos like this from you thank you very much for sharing
Few years ago I did travelling in Finland with 2/stroke Vespa PX150 and later PX200. Scenery is exactly like in Finland untill you see the big mountains in Norway. Norway is such a beautiful country. I have seen the fjords from Trondheim to Tromså. People are very friendly. I have banana yellow 2022 monkey here in Australia. Thanks for a relaxing video.
Great ride, thank you for taking me along.
Thank you very much for making this video and sharing your wonderful experience.
Tack för en mycket bra film helt enkelt. Bra filmat! Hälsningar Micke fra Sverige som åker Honda Goldwing men åkt mycket Honda Dax 🙂🇸🇪
Beautiful peaceful nature, free roaming cows and lambs just made me smile, and for a short time forget the chaos of today. Thank you🙂

Nice landscape you're riding on! I also have a banana yellow little Monkey from 2019 and the best roads are the ones just like yours. I live in Estonia, unfortunately we don't have such great mountains here as in Estonia, but little hills and slopes are nice too. How does your bike cope with the gear on the back?
A big adventure on a tiny bike: top!
Härlig tur Fin Honda Alldeles Lagom Hoj =)
greetings from Norway, i newly owned a skyteam dax but its only 50cc for now just for me to learn how to gear, i was looking for a moped for my size 5,2 hgt, i tried susuki fz and it fits to me but i choose moped with gear to learn it. now im checking skyteam 125cc. when i saw that beer case im laughing so hard because i saw one like this on susuki fz too and my husband want me to use on my moped😅. this video is inspiring.

Great video! how tall are you?
Great movie! 😀 One question about the setup. The bottle case, was it really any help? (Looks to make the bike unnecessary top heavy, since you have a big bag and good straps, the case might not be needed.)

🙏 A perfectly legitimate question! The answer is simple; no, not very helpful. 😅 Strictly for show. But it's always mounted, and in downtown Oslo it's very nice to have. More pictures here instagram.com/monkey_tripper/

Perfect!! I too have plans to travel on a 125cc motorcycle. Was going to buy the Honda Super cub 125 but it would cost me around 4.300 euros! My budget was 3.500 euros max. I studied the rest of the bikes on the market and came across the Zontes G1 125 Scrambler which comes with many extras, and is good for road and gravel roads. Heard some good things about it so I ended up buying that one. I should get it in a couple of days!! Great video, beautiful areas too. You can't go wrong with the Honda Monkey!! Thanks for sharing 👍 The gas mileage is great on 125cc engines right?! Take care.
@torvaldl
Жыл бұрын
The monkey does about 0.3L/km on normal roads, but on the gravel, when you're not blasting full revs anyway, I averaged on about 0.15L/km! Albeit the monkey got a 5L tank, that does indeed get you a long way! Safe trips!

@@atas_rider Hi there, getting the last of the paperwork finished, here in Spain it takes forever!! So I should be getting my G1 tomorrow (I hope) I didn't believe it myself but a friend has the G1 125 and he was able to get 895 kilometers on one tank! I guess it can vary though, depending on your style of riding. I'm still thinking that the mileage will be excellent 👌. Having a 20 liter gas tank on the G1 will be very helpful when traveling! Good luck, with your adventures in the future and safe riding....

Thought similar but wanted to spend even less on a used motorcycle. Unfortunately used 125 are quite expensive so it became a Suzuki freewind, which was even cheaper then a Yamaha TW125, which was my favourite then.

Great. You really put a lot of work into the scenes.👍👍 Is it allowed to light fires in the forest in your country? And camping and riding a motorcycle through the forest? In my country (Germany) this is not the case.
@torvaldl
6 ай бұрын
An open fire is not permitted through the summer months, but portable stoves are allowed throughout the year. As for riding in the forest; you can only ride on public roads, but most of Norway is forest, so it usually a situation you'll find yourself in sooner or later. (-: These roads are purposeful chosen as they are part of the Trans Euro Trails (transeurotrail.org/norway/), they are a mix of public roads and private roads (where as landowners have permitted motorcycles explicitly or you pay a small fee to cross their roads, usually semi automatic or self serviced checkpoints). Check out transeurotrail.org/germany/#5.16/54.838/10.915 - it does look like you can be able to find some unpaved roads north in Germany.

No, la maggior parte della vita selvaggia in Norvegia è molto timida ed eviterà gli umani. Natura pacifica quassù. 🙂
so you had to go turn on your camera then go back into the tent then come out of tent.... Dude... you really don't need to go through all that. taking a monkey on a trip like this is perfect.
😎🇸🇯👍👍
How do you keep weight on the front wheel when you put your gear behind you? The fork and back springs can't be adjusted, so the front wheel must get light and subject to tank banging. The bike only has 4 inches of travel on the shocks , less loaded down making off road riding conditional. With a top speed of 56 miles per hour, much less when loaded and/or on inclines, it must limit the roads you can use. Interesting bike to make a statement, but not recommended as a serious adventure bike. I do like the color it appears to be the same color as the 1969 CT90 Trail I'm restoring. The one thing you can count on, it will be reliable and last forever.

No noo....😂 I have the same Monkey the rear stock springs can be adjusted very simply. I did put a hard nylon/plasic ring size a half inch or 13 mm thick between the spring and the chrome cap. Its an old trick but always wirks. You cant see it but it is much more stiffer . I weigh about 100 kg and its just perfect .

Hi, if there is anything you would like to change on your „monkey“ what would it be?
@torvaldl
6 ай бұрын
The stock rear suspension could be a lot stiffer. Also, I wish it did 80-90 km/s easier, it kind of lacks the power to do most roads. Here in Norway the default speed limit is 80km/t (but all cars do 90km/t), so you end up stacking cars behind you, especially uphill, and we got some of them hills here...
