I'm thinking 4 years old so tires will probably need to be changed so I'm guessing 1k for 5 tires. It has the couch but I'm looking around to see if I can swap the couch out for 2 recliners. I just picked mine up yesterday. I drove across the scale and my tongue weight was 860#s. Leaving my f150 at 7040 of the 7200 GVW - empty trailer with my wife and I in the truck with nearly a full gas tank. We have a 2015 2109s and love love love it. I do have some questions about the new model...where are the electrical outlets in the kitchen area? I did not see any. We have 3 within reach of the counter. I don't like the kitchen cabinets opening side to side. Ours lift up out of the way. We have an entertainment center holding the TV at the end of the sink and it has more storage, which I like. The fridge needs to open the other way, left to right. We don't have the shower enclosure and water miser, which I would like. Also, we do not have the storage behind the toilet, which would be nice.

    @@pesto12601 It all depends on where you are going and for how long. I spent the entire month of July living in my Winnebago Minnie Drop. It's 21' long with no slides. I towed it from NH to PA, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, South Dakota, Montana and finally landed at Yellowstone, WY. So there was cooking (unless you're a millionaire and eat out every day, then there was Laundry, unless you throw your dirty clothes away and find a store to buy more. So we needed STUFF to go camping. HOT weather, Cold weather, some rain and snow. Hey it's 8,000' in WY, 13,000 feet in the mountains of Grand Teton. I have beautiful memories, priceless memories that will make me laugh if I live to be a hundred. I also have terror memories taking the North entrance route into Yellowstone that just happened to be hugging the side of the high mountain. I was singing: "Nearer My God to Thee" the whole way. • @RousseausRVWalkthroughs

    @RousseausRVWalkthroughs

    11 ай бұрын

    Which large trailers are you referencing? Travel trailer brands that are made with wood frames and have the corrugated metal exteriors are less expensive for sure. Cheaper building materials and fewer features. And for many, that does exactly what they need it to do, and it can last for many years with regular maintenance. One of our longtime salespeople purchased one of these “stick and tin” units a few years back, even though she knows the Rockwood is superior in virtually every way. But for her, she just needed a place with a bed and kitchen that she and her husband would use several weekends a year. It fit her purpose and it was the right price. I just want to make sure you’re comparing apples to apples when looking at different brands of travel trailers. Like with everything else, you get what you pay for.

    $33,995 base price. When comparing prices online, always be sure to find out if there are dealer fees in addition to the advertised price. Sometimes it adds a few thousand to the price.

    Why don't manufacturers want to make Twin Bed floorplans? Not everyone wants or can crawl over their sleeping partner when getting in and out of bed. And let's face it, 99% of the so-called walk around queen beds have obstructions on each side still requiring you to crawl into bed.

    I wish there were some more! Rockwood actually dropped one of their only twin bed floorplans for 2024, the 2204S Mini Lite. It would be great if on some floorplans they had the option to swap the main bed with twin beds.

    Yes, I know. I soke with a rep at the factory looking for a twin bed floor plan and was advised they didn't sell so they dropped them from their 2024 line-up. I totally disagree with that decision unless they are eliminating older and physically challenged campers from their customer base. I live in Maine which has the oldest aged people per capita in the U.S. even older then FL. We (I'm 72) find it difficult to get in and out of bed when ingress and egress is by means of the foot of a queen bed due to the bedside floor obstructions / build-ups . The aging of our citizens who still want to enjoy RVing need a manufacturer to start designing campers with that in mind. Bigger bathrooms with ample room around the commodes, easy step in roomy showers, dinettes that you can actually sit in with enough table height to get your knees underneath, railing on one side of entry steps, and of course more twin beds as an option and make getting in and out of queen beds easie.@@RousseausRVWalkthroughs

    Rubber roof? Never again. I have a fibreglass trailer built Escape Trailer Industies in British Columbia. Similar to Scamp and Casita, my trailer will never leak, sorry, factory direct only, a screaming deal for US customers.

    Technically not rubber, but TPO. Better than rubber, but it does require re-caulking every few years and re-coating in 8-12 years. Fiberglass roof is very nice. Sounds like a great rig. Thanks for watching.

    @@towgod3096 We are on our 7th trailer. Our 5th was a 1977 Trillium which was was a great old Fibreglass trailer. Escape copied the design. Then our last trailer was a 2007 Escape 17B, again a great trailer but after 4 years we wanted a permanent bed. Our current trailer a 2020 Escape 19 we ordered from the factory 4000km away and because of Covid had to have it delivered. Escape trailer are the best world wide, molded Fibreglass is infinitely repairable, light, easy to tow, the roof is a work of art. The down side is they use the common components of the RV industry like the horrible Dometic fridge and furnace. Escapes are small which many people don’t like but all my destinations are 2500 miles away so weight is a priority for us. Really I think the Escape 5.0 fifth wheel is the best RV from any manufacturer.

    There are certainly lighter RVs on the market. Rockwood makes their Geo Pro line that starts at 2700 lbs. Compared to all the other Rockwood Mini Lites, this is the lightest of the 10 models they offer.

    You are doing the future owners a disservice by not telling us the gross weight rating. Very un professional. Make the sell and not care about their safety.

    Did you see the part of the video where I show the GVWR and read it out loud? It's around the 2-minute mark. I am not hiding anything or trying to deceive anyone. Even the manufacturer lists an unloaded vehicle weight and a cargo carrying capacity separately because GVWR is a maximum possible weight based on how much cargo a person can safely carry in their rig. Everyone starts with a UVW and understands that if/when they add more cargo, the weight will increase. I have never sold an RV to a customer when I knew their tow vehicle couldn't handle it. It's the responsibility of the dealership to discuss tow ratings and GVWR with customers, and this is something we always do. I am not selling anything from these videos. No one purchases from a video. RVs are purchased at RV dealerships. Some of my customers have come into the dealership after seeing a video, but once we begin to discuss a possible purchase, one of the first things we discuss is their tow capacity and what RVs they can handle. Any RV dealership will have the same discussion with their customers.

    If that SUV could tow 6000lbs or more, it could tow it comfortably.
