Mini Cooper Lowering Springs // Best Springs Install

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

These are the perfect lowering springs for your Mini Cooper F56 and here's why. To start, the drop in terms of the amount these springs will lower the ride height of your Mini Cooper, is the perfect amount. 25mm (1 inch) lower than factory in the rear and 30mm (1 inch and 1/4) lower than factory ride height in the front.
Check out the links below to purchase any of the parts installed in todays video and don't forget to use coupon code BERTINI for a discount from mmrshop.co.uk and OutMotoring.com 😍
2014 - 2022 Mini Cooper F56 JCW MMR Performance Lowering Springs part number MMR08-1401: mmrshop.co.uk/collections/min...
2014 - 2022 Mini Cooper F56 JCW H&R Performance Lowering Springs part number 28813-1: www.outmotoring.com/h-r-lower...
What makes these lowering springs the best lowering springs for your Mini Cooper is not just the ride height, but the quality of the springs themselves, and the quality of the ride. I feel like these lowering springs made the ride feel smoother, oddly enough. 🍻
The worst part about getting lowering springs is installing them on you Mini Cooper, only to find out that you lowered it way too much and the ride sucks. Don't be that person. Unless you're not looking for the best lowering springs, then just do what you feel is better for your tastes and styles. 🤷🏽‍♂️
But in my opinion - these have to be the best Mini Cooper lowering springs on the market if you're really looking to take your aesthetics and ride quality to the next level. Lowering your center of gravity is pretty nice too. 😅

    Off topic. I read on the MINI forums folk disliking the centre armrest and removing it, my 1 previous owner JCW came without an armrest so I fitted one myself. I only mention this because you, like me, obviously love it and find it very useful without even thinking about it. Thanks for the upload.👌

    Hey I have the same setup on my cooper s f56. I also have a nm sway bar 22mm. I noticed squeaking noise in the rear suspension going over bumps. Did you noticed that with the springs? Did you cut the bump stops ?

    One thing I noticed was that you have the EDC if I’m not mistaken. I really wish you would have detailed the removal of the front strut top hats from the strut assembly because I’ve read that if it is done incorrectly, you can break the electronic damper. I have a rebuild kit for the front damper and I’m itching to install the new boots and gaskets and re-grease the top hat bearings but I also don’t want to destroy the electronic dampers. Any tips? I’m running the NM engineering springs that drop 1.25” on all 4 corners. Nice job btw. You should bring the Mini out to the U.P. for the world record attempt next year on the Mackinac bridge and also check out running The Tail of the Dragon next fall!

    You know, I wanted to add it into the video, but I battle with this. The challenge is, I like watching the details, but sadly, those videos don't perform well on KZread and they hurt my analytics. This socket is a must amzn.to/3U2wVnr , so long is you relieve the tension from the springs and you use the proper torque specs you'll be fine. Also, make sure when you are tightening down the nut to the sensor, make sure the shaft is in the right position for the wire. It would be cool to take the Mini up there for the world record attempt. 😍🤘🏼

    I agree with you. I would've noticed a difference in the coilovers for many reasons, but I don't want it to be that low. 😅 I'm working with a brand now on potentially installing their coilovers at some point, and theirs are the same amount of drop as these springs are.

    Great vid! How do you know how far to push the strut back into the hub/knuckle?

  • @MichaelBertini

    @MichaelBertini

    Жыл бұрын

    This is the same question I had too. There's a pin on the back side which goes into a slot on the back. Then you push the strut down into the knuckle as far as it can go and it should be protruding from the bottom.

    @@C22RLD correct. I would measure and take pictures beforehand. I typically do this with everything I touch anyways, even if I have the service manuals. I'm a little "over the top" like that sometimes.
