Thank you for the refresher , every few years by the time the battery dies I forget .
You can use the tip of the key to pop the cover off and to pull the battery cover out.
Where is the fob sensor located? Its not the fob battery in my car, i think its the fob signal sensor. 2013 Countryman

Put in another battery and make sure its fresh . If that doesnt work you may have bigger problems . @@mondrauljernigan5366
