The steam does elongate them, but mine also get frizzy and shrink up once they're dry.😩 Sidenote lifelong natural is such a flex! I wish I would have been natural all my life. Shout out to whoever raised you 🙌 and to you for remaining natural.

My favorite way to style my mini braids 😍

I pretty much use the same method. Mine is at the longer stage, so I also layer soft hair ties all the way to the end of my mini twists/braids. I love this style so much

this is best protective style. very low manipulation l, can oil scalp and no tension from extensions

Agreed! I've noticed a big difference in how fast my hair grows without the tension of weave. Starting to make me think knotless isn't really a protective style. 🤔

I'm from Florida and we call them plaits as well. I think it's also a generational thing 😄.

Those are not braids, they called plaits.

Unfortunately It will probably take me forever to get my hair this lenghth even if its not that long

I just put beads

If your hair is short, you’ll still look like a spider😂😂😂😂 using the pins will help but you have to keep them in. As your hair grows, it’ll have more weight and naturally stay down.
