    I do like your approach to problem solving. That hose attached to the caliper with a shraeder valve was brilliant simplicity. With that gear reduction, the bike will climb up a wall at idle.😊.

    The rear sprocket seems big but according to calculations it could be too small since the tires are 22" in diameter. But we'll see, hoping to testride this minibike soon.👍

    That was definitely an “oops” moment. I’ve played “helicopters” on a drill press quite a few times, but not so far on a lathe. Keep up the good work Donn. All the best from Aus.

    How did you figure out this was the right sprocket ratio? I guess some formula involving motor's RPM and wheel radius or something like that.

    I considered this but was afraid that brake pads would get contaminated from the chain lube that's stuck to the sprocket.

    I've gotten bit by the jaws on my lathe plenty of times and I'm sure I will get bitten again. Your lathe looks like it would gladly take an arm if you give it half a chance. I'm not trying to be Mr. Safety. That's just my way of saying I love your machine.

    If it's the 2WD bike then I've seen it yes. At some point I was really into 2WD motorcycles. Maybe one day I'll be into them again.

    Are you planing to use bushings inside the hub? to avoid force on the berings when tightening the rearaxel?

    Yep, of course.👍 I just mocked it up so I could see whether the brake rotor and sprocked flanges were ok. Now I can finish it up by making the spacers.

    Good question👍but no. The engine crankshaft rotation is counter-clockwise.👍

    It is a bit on the exposed side but also freely accessible, making maintenance easier.🤷‍♂️ Mounting the caliper to the frame is also much easier.👍
