    Thanks for the video. I just bought two! Was almost gonna buy an Abu 6500 C3 but saw the bearings in the Ming Yang and that did it for me.

    I own 4 Ming Yang reels. 2 CL60A's a CZH50 and a CZH40. I have used them for 6+ years and have had ZERO Problems with any of them.

    A lot like my kastking. I turned mine into a ct. removed levelwind and cut out the thumb bar. I added a bolt through the holes for the worm gear to reinforce it. I also put two static mags in it. Now its a surf reel. It is my best caster by far. I won’t say how far I can cast because I’ll be called a liar but it’s half the distance of the best caster in the world. I have $100 in my rod and reel and he has about a grand. I have 3 ABU’s. Great review!

    Hi Ivan,from Australia.Just bought what was advertised as a brang new MY 70.Well it wasnt brand new and although very little use had been neglected and taken apart and some things not put back correct .I used this vid as a bit of reference and have totally rebuilt it .The thing is sweet as , seems very smooth and powerful,lovely drag.Got a bargain I think for probably 10 dollars equivelent US. The 70 has no plastic in it at all.Not even the pinion yoke.Cheers.

    Great video, I bought 2 of these just to try. I love my Abu Garcia reels but these are worth the 50 bucks. They aren't bad at all really for the price.

    was thinking about getting one and I happened upon your video and it makes me more secure in getting one. you have a lot of people looking for nothing but attention and when you call them on it they coward up and crawl back into their mommy's basement. I will be getting a cl70 and think I will enjoy it for a long time. thanks again.

    I have to agree with you Ivan these Ming Yang reels are unbeatable and smooth as butter imo smooth as or even better than several of my Abu vintage 6500 c and c3’s and hold more 20lb mono line than those reels, I’m going to stock on these reels before you can’t get them anymore

    I saw an Abu 6500s at Wal-Mart and they wanted $69 for it. I've had my hands on one of those and a bcx and they are both in my opinion junk. I own three 6500c3's and they are the real deal. But if I couldn't find deals like that the Ming yang looks like the reel I would pick any day over the 6500s. I saw someone on Facebook marketplace trying to sell a 6500s for 75 bucks. He said he paid 150 new and I thought either you're a sucker or you're looking for a sucker. Heck I'm always on a budget for fishing gear, I might just order one of these to check it out.

    If you going to get ambassadeurs, get the vintage stuff, ie 5000 - 7000 from the 60s - 80s. Those can be had for good prices and their build quality are way above anything produced after the Garcia merger.

    I turned my friend on to these, he owns 2. Only knock on them is replacement parts market for them is nonexistent.

  • @MissouriAgitater

    @MissouriAgitater

    5 жыл бұрын

    You can get most parts needed for them that would fail.. Boca bearing company has all the bearings. Carbon drags are easily replaced. Power handles from Abu's work on them. But the Spool, End caps and Anti reverse bearing I have not been able to locate yet. But luckly after a year of abuse these haven't had to have parts yet. Let's see what year 2 has in store..

    @@MissouriAgitater bearings, and drags washers will need replaced at some point. I did drop one of those centrifugal brake rollers when I was pulling it apart to check one out, the Abu breaks works good in one in a pinch. He has not broke either one of his 2 yet, they are a nice reelsl for the money. This from a life long Abu fan. He needed 2 reels, and was on a budget, I asked around, saw you video, and recommended to him ying mang. Same result not a single issue, but me losing that break roller.

    @@jamesloerzel4377 I finally found mine lol.. But you are correct a Abu centrifugal break would work as well.. I'm glad he likes his, I sure do mine. I'm a 100% Abu guy and I still love them. But for the money Ming Yang just can't be beat. If I ever locate a good complete part source. I will post a video and link for everyone to use. Thanks for clicking on my video and watching. Tight lines :)
