Just stumbled upon this video via random youtube feed, I was blown away by the outstanding sound timbre and physical appearance of this "made in China" violin!! Wow the beautiful 2-piece flamings at the back! I usually have a negative impression of China made products (made-in-china violins reminds me of those $100 low quality trash violins from amazon), but this totally changed my perception.

I was interested in getting one of these as my first instrument (I'm a big or go home type of guy). Somewhere I read that Mjz died so the quality control may not be the same, but I highly doubt that being the fact that these makers would have had at least had 4 years working under mjz and with some having 23 years with Mjz himself. These are clearly some of the best violins in the world and with only about 20 Mjz 925's being made a year, the quality control is probably off the charts since they would only be working on about 2 per month leaving a lot of time to make sure they did it right. I plan on getting an mjz 925 as soon as humanly possible along with a Willian De Marchi Silver Sartory Violin Bow, very fitting I believe, two award winning makers with what they create being worth well over 2x the price. One question though, is fidler shop the only online store with access to the 925? I would assume so since you guys offer the best price for mjz instruments out of any online store. Also to others interested in this read the reviews, there great. There seems to be a consensus among people who own this violin, "the videos do not do it justice". If you guys live near Fiddlershop I would recommend going to try them out for yourselves. If you guys cannot, just know that fiddler shop has some of the best prices and when shopping around I have not found a better price on MJZ instruments other than from the used market. The guy's at fiddlershop know what they are doing, and they are doing it well. Who knows? maybe one day I'll become a violin maker and sell my violins exclusively to these guys.

We'd love that Joel! I can't say for sure where the other places to find the 925 are, but we don't change the numbers or names as they come from Ming-Jiang Zhu. So there might be other shops that sell the 925, but they call it something else. I wish it wasn't so confusing. Thanks for your kind words.

@@joelstatosky1817 Shar Music I believe has MJZ’s but they stick their own label onto them. Also, Brobst Violin Shop has an MJZ 909. Not sure if it is gone, though.

Can you get the MJZ 925 in a one piece back?

No, instruments at this calibre never come with a bow, you are expected to be your own.

A bow isn't included by default. Since this is a higher level instrument, many players already have a bow and case they like, or have specific preferences they are looking for in a bow.
