Between this and boss rush you've just added a lot of fuel for my D&D campaign...
This makes me want a dungeon crawler set in the museum from the 90s educational show, eyewitness.

I had a CD-Rom version of Eyewitness as a kid which was actually set in a geology museum, and this album/artwork is AMAZINGLY nostalgic for that atmosphere!
As a geologist I appreciate this album very much

15:12 Y'know, never expected to hear "Abide with Me" in a dungeon synth album but I love how it sounds like an old broken down carillon!
It's inspiring how someone can make music this fast.

Louie Z simply just goes with the flow of sound
I heard that Mineral Hall was supposed to be a bonus dungeon in the Boss Rush game, but that it's non-Euclidean geometry took up too much memory and the devs had to cut it in the end.
Ever since Beyond the Edge of the World I've gotten waaaaay into Dungeon Synth so many thanks for that and this awesome sequel!

@@LARKXHIN The definitive source is @TheDungeonSynthArchives Major highlights would include: Fief - ii kzread.info/dash/bejne/dpqas7iJZrjXhrQ.html Tales Under the Oak- The Swamp Kingdom kzread.info/dash/bejne/haWVmdWKqM_YcaQ.html & The Toad King kzread.info/dash/bejne/ln1r1syJd6jgZ7g.html Ziggurath - Tales from the Southern Kingdoms kzread.info/dash/bejne/pp6qs7WNddG5mMY.html Hole Dweller - Flies the Coop kzread.info/dash/bejne/iWt8s6SHYra1o9o.html & Bellkeeper (another project from the same guy who does Hole Dweller)- The First Flame of Lordran kzread.info/dash/bejne/fGuBtJuyXbiricY.html But there's soooooo much amazing content with all sorts of niches and differences. Of the above, Hole Dweller and Tales From Under the Oak both use some sort of diagetic sounds which I love but aren't for everyone. The most recent TFUtO album has straight up narration which I'm split on. Ziggurath has a distinct desert vibe unlike the rest on this list, and likewise others will have their thematic focii, like "dark" or "cave" styles.

Now I'm thinking of a backrooms-esque, neverending, starkly lit, marble hallway filled with gems that have been there before time began. You're very good at making these frozen moments that have their own time and space about them. Congrats as always.

The trophy hall of the ascended god who was a humble geologist that by sheer luck and determination ended ascending to godhood later to realize they could keep exploring the caves and storing its valuable finds on its own pocket dimension
Feldspar Folk sounds like a tune for “friendly” shops in the dungeon selling supplies, sometimes an elixir for 48900G.

Louie this is perhaps the most immersive album I've every heard in my life. Listening to each song makes me feel like I'm in a different world or like an old video that doesn't exist I swear to God
This makes me wanna build a small DnD adventure for this background music. Like, some otherworldy gem-cave with crystalline beings, all very sparkly and turquoise and stuff. Really cool vibe
Ah the hidden gem of "Abide with Me". That one caught me by surprise.
Heck yes! I love all the other lookfar stuff, I’m happy for another sequel
80’s Dark fantasy style album, love it
in love with Petrified Wood, fairlight cmi pan flute goes hard on that song
tourmaline theme is horrifically beautiful
Every night, the KZread algorithm blesses me with a different Louie Zong album, because it knows I'll click it.
Every time a new Lookfar album happens, it is always the best part of that day. This world, whatever it is, is SO intriguing. Thank you for the fantastic music, Louie!
This is nice! Feels like something you’d find in Hypnospace Outlaw
The intense Mystery Dungeon vibes the first few seconds of Feldspar Folk give off are a nostalgia slap in the face I love it
I've listened to this like... 8 times since it was posted. Tourmaline Theme stirs up something deep within me every time I listen to it - all of the tracks do, actually - so otherworldly.
The vibes on Tourmaline Theme are so good holy shit
"NO WAY. LOUIE ZONG POSTED ANOTHER LOOKFAR." My mother, sleeping after a 4 hour drive: "That's nice sweetie"
This is fantastic, every song that came on i was like "yes, that's what that rock would sound like!!!"
I was just wishing there was another Louie dungeon synth album the other day! Loving it so far
Ooh this is like ASMR for a very specific part of my brain.
Obligatory "And Steven!" Seriously though this is good, thank you!
I love all of your music, but your Lookfar albums have a very special place in my heart.
i'm %200 going to use this for dnd

as usual, a perfect combination of music, title, and album artwork
this album is my current daily music to the university... foggy mornings with a bit of a low rain...
dancing and jamming :] reminds me a lot of some of the ENA soundtrack, so fun!!
Ancient Zircon 10/10
i was just chilling with this in the bg and then staurolite cross suddenly filled my heart with a feeling i dont know when or why or even if i felt it before. something finite and precious is the best way to describe it atm. if i could say with only certainty that some things are art, this would be one of those somethings.

How did I miss this upload??? I love your Lookfar albums, every day I’ve not known about this one has been another day too long
I would love to see a breakdown of ANY of these songs, but Iridium Dream is the one I'd like to see the most. :)
Oh hell yes more Lookfar
I really want more like this! Its great music for DnD set dressing.
He's done it again
This is incredible this is exactly what my moog fueled brain needed
Amazing music and such a cool cover art!

I am a huge dungeon synth fan, seeing this kind of rep from a musician I love is awesome!!!
Thank you so much for making more dungeonsynth, your previous one is literally the best dungeonsynth I have ever heard.
Actual rock music
Gorgeous :)
This sounds like the soundtrack to if Eyewitness made a virtual museum educational tour CD-ROM that came in a cereal box in 1998
LOVE your dungeon synth stuff louie! this will be my jam for weeks to come!
Loved this--such beautiful chill jams!
Thanks for getting me into dungeon synth with beyond the edge of the world! Excited to listen to this new release 😊
absolutely attached to this album. so full of character.
new Louie Zhong dungeon synth album!!!!!
This reminded me a lot of the Denpa Men games soundtrack along with some of the tones of music from Bugsnax. I really liked this
rip old amnh hall of gems and minerals :(
I love rock music
HELL YEAH, ANOTHER DUNGEON SYNTH ALBUM?? you're so good to us louie
You’re practically the only artist I use for dnd games now!! Will be using this for upcoming heist campaign!!
I love these themed albums so much!!! ❤ like the fries album, it’s just so creative!!
I wish my body was creative like this
I love the Earthsea reference
I finally have a way to describe my ascetic
impeccable energy i love it
thank god, someone else who understands the beauty of this genre!
Sounds like Pokémon Mystery Dungeon meets 90s Zelda meets Chrono Trigger
WOOOO MORE LOOKFAR My dnd table vibes will be even better
WOOOOOOO LETS GOOOOOOO. Fav Louie album gets another sequel
So far this already sounds far more creative and original than the vast majority of dungeon synth I hear. Not sure who else would know about this, but it also reminds me of a bizarre early 90's computer game called Spelunx which I sometimes played during school computer class (I guess it was "educational"? XD)...
By the beard!
Love this!🥳
This rocks! 😉
Ahh I've been looking forward to this. I loved the previous Lookfar
Just hearing music like this is inspiring for us game makers.
Lapidacious!
Mysterious I like it
Music for rockhounds, kobolds and mineralogist!
Yes, more dungeon synth! Mooooooore!
i was listenin to the other lookfar albums while doing some homework and didnt even notice this dropped. guess i know what im listenin too for homework tomorrow

The 90's game vibes.
Iridium dream is my favorite
Very Adventure Time.

Hello, Louie! I really liked your KK Slider songs, and I was wondering if you could turn some of KK Slider's songs from the games into real songs in your style. KK Cruisin and KK Disco are both so good and I feel like you could make some fantastic music with them, like you did with your Pokemon Surf album.
