The cover art! I empathize so much with that poor crummy goblin. Since the Dark Lord’s demise the mind control has dissolved, but what’s done is done. Their tiny goblin heart is nothing but a shrivelled lump of coal now. They survived The Hero’s onslaught by some miracle, or thanks to their own irrepressible cowardice. Now what? The supernatural angst is gone, but nothing else has filled the void. How they long to chew on a fresh slimy frog, or maybe even on a catfish. The furnaces' fumes have probably ruined their snout forever, and yet they’d swear they’re catching a whiff of a nearby swamp’s vapour. Suddenly they remember home ; an emotion fogs their beady eyes.

The cover "art" is made by AI. Not sure if that makes any difference to anyone anymore at this point though, but I just wanted to share.

@@Walter5850 Good. I'll take a "mindless" machine producing art over some pretentious "artist". They think just because they can doddle particularly well, that it makes them hot shit. They tend to get too wraped up in their own hype; high on their own farts. So you can draw good, so what? I turn a wrench pretty damn well, but nobody lauds my accomplishments. Humility is a virtue you'll scarcely find in the "art" community.

sounds like someone who isn't an artist would say. It's about the craft of making something by hand, not the hype surrounding it. Your pfp is Corto Maltese by the way, a work that was made by hand by a really famous comic artist, so whats your point? Do you want the world to lose the artist's touch and be replaced by a machines neural network of image theft? AI draws its database from real artists works, its not original. @@MnemonicHack

@@Ricardo_Belmonte I am an artist. As an industrial mechanic, I maintain and improve massive structures of steel, plastic and rubber; presses that weigh a hundred tons, robotic lines that can assemble hundreds of components an hour, works of art that can drive entire industries. Machines are art. They're a real, useful, powerful work of art that has actual worth and can PRODUCE worth, as opposed to worth simply assigned to a painting that does nothing but sit there and be interpreted. Don't like that? Well I'm also a writer, and have been one for more than a decade. Writing is an artform all of it's own. I also hand-carve wood and onyx. Nothing is truly original. All artists take influence from anything and everything. To the point where we write laws to make sure someone's art isn't TOO similar to someone else's. I don't bemoan all artists. I'm complaining about the _~Artist~_ who thinks they're oh so unique; a practical gift to the world. And I take ebullient joy in them crying about how a machine does what they can do. Yes, the cover art IS art. Art is in the eye of the beholder, and not for you to decry it simply on the basis that it's made by a machine.

Alundra 2, Chrono Trigger, Live a Live, FF Tactics, Threads of Fate (Dewprism in japan), Legend of Dragoon... I was born in '91. My first console was a NES, but my favorite was the 64. Although 4ish years after getting my beloved N64 I got the PSOne and goddamnit what a charming console with a more charming library. It's funny how different both consoles were. They're like distant cousins with different personalities and character traits. The games looked different (obviously because hardware features and limitations) and that gave them each a different texture. Miss those times. Life was just a neverending play.

Wild how accurate the retro-synths sounds and how well put together this album is, specially the percussion, the lead-pads and some drones, reminds me a lot to the good old Commodore Amiga Samplers and its 28 kHz soundchip. This is going to be perfect for my next D&D campaign. I was going for a 1980s Hobbit movie kind of aesthetic.

I bought this children’s book that I read to my daughter called “Nobody Likes a Goblin”. This cover art makes me think this is a grittier/darker version of that story.

This is some great dungeon synth -- a genre that I have recently fell in love with and have started experimenting with in my own musical compositions. Well done, Mountain Realm -- and thanks for posting this, Cryo Chamber. I love the art in this video, as well.

What amazing cover art. The picture itself and vintage box design are killing it. Oh yeah, the soundtrack is pretty sweet also! :)
