Minelab’s X-Terra Pro Beach Metal Detecting. Live digs. Things to do in Florida. Salt Life

Confused by deep targets using Minelab’s X-Terra Pro. I’ve learned to turn down the sensitivity to stop the chatter. I’m learning as I go. I dig every signal even though I SUSPECT they’ll be trash. It would bother me not knowing what the target truly is unless I see it. 😆
Things to do in Florida.
I only show live digs. No open holes and the target. I show what I find. No more. No less. If I find only trash, I’ll show that too. 😆

Hi Jason! I know it’s been a while. Thanks for sticking with me. I don’t mind digging all the junk. One time I was exhausted and heading back to where I started. I had a target with an unstable VDI. I walked about 10 yards before it started bothering me. I went back for it and it was a nice coin spill. I’ll always dig every target. 😂 GL&HH! Jay

Hi MsAliceinWonderland! Thanks for watching. Apparently I’m making the learning curve harder than what it should be. I should’ve know there sensitivity is too high. I’ve since lowered it to 13-15 and it’s helped with the chatter and pin pointing. Lol GL&HH! Jay

The Vanquish 540 and the X-Terra Pro are our go to Detectors. In Beach 2 mode in the water, we use a sensitivity of 14-15. Any higher and it constantly chatters. With Beach 1 in the dry, we go 19-20. We have dug some great stuff with both detectors

Hey Jay I love to see you back at it I hope everything is ok and you are doing well. As far as the detector being chatterie when the water is coming over the coil might try lowering sensitivity a bit and it will probably calm down I know that I have same problem with my 600 Nox and I will bump it down two or three digits from about 20 to about 17 or 18 on sensitivity makes a world of difference and I feel that any lost of depth is minimal. Keep on swinging and remember to make it fun and Happy Hunting 😊👍..

I was so excited about having a new machine that lowering the sensitivity didn’t dawn on me right away. I’m now swinging at 13-15 and it’s helped with the chatter and pin pointing. GL&HH! Jay

A 3:12, I believe you are half way to china. I love my Xterra Pro, I rarely have my sensitivity higher than 12. I hate digging that deep in the soil. No real beaches near me, so I must dig the dirt. No wonder you pin point was so big with size of that tent stake. Hahaha

@@Gaptains_vloG I did mean that you were digging too big of holes, who cares on the beach as long as you fill them. I meant that the targets were deep, and you were having to dig deep for them. Keep up the good work. The Xterra will sing if you get it over a coin or precious metal. I have found more rings with the Xterra than my Equinox 900. Just give it some time, and listen to the tones more than the VDI.

Take the Xterra to a park\ tot lot. Turn the sensitivity to 6-8, all metal mode, ground balance and noise cancel. You will be able to get right next to the poles and toys and still pickup targets without digging up all the fabric staples. Good luck.

Those are some GIANT holes. I feel like there has to be an inuendo joke there, but I can't seem to think of it. For the water chatter, some dielectric grease on the connection might help.

You may need to lower your sensitivity to stop the chatter. Water detecting is a little bit noisier. Even when im in the dry by the pier, i have to lower it to about a 10 just to cancel out all the noise coming from it.

CD just did a huge beach shoot out with the X-Terra pro included. It was hitting a nickel at 10" but he didn't raise the sensitivity past 20 even though it was stable. I think it would of hit the 12" nickel at 22 sensitivity? How high can you go at the beaches you detect at and still remain stable?

Well that test results you can hear the sound of the X-Terra Pro sound off on the 12" inch Nickel And it was only 3 blips and he said that it didn't happen and then he takes the Legend Detector on the same exact targets and it came to the 12" nickel And it doesn't sound off until he raised the Sensitivity up and he doesn't help the X-Terra Pro but only the Notka Lineups Detector's 🤔.... so they have a advantage and how many more Updates for the Notka Lineup Detector's and A update for the X-Terra Pro is Not Necessary for it...
