I wish detectors weren't so absurdly expensive, I'd love to play around with one and see what I can hack it to do. But the price is just prohibitive. Sad part is so many people have them laying around never to be used in the shed.

Thanks for the comparison Woody, awesome results especially balancing out those hot rocks and able to use a higher gain now thats impressive. A mod for my 5000 is a now a must 😊

Impressive results. Interesting fact, a cheap golf ball is about a dollar, a top shelf golf ball, which is much better, is about 8 dollars. The cost to make each is almost identical, it's all about marketing and that is easier if there are choices and different qualities. When you look at the detectors it is similar, a 7000 doesn't cost $7,000.00 more than a Gold Monster to produce.

I have no affiliation with Minelab but they make the best pulse induction detectors.

Hey woody I’m very interested in getting my 5000 done how do I get in contact with you & on the council bullshit I’ve been told if you put it in writing they have to address it i think worth a try as a Ballarat bloke good luck might as well talk to a brick wall cheers keep up the good work
