Thanks Peter. 👍
Just picked up my 600 after much deliberation on what to choose for my first real detector. Was a bit confused/overwhelmed when I turned it on for the first time, and decided to do some more "studying" before I fire it up for real. Your video has been the best I've seen so far in explaining these beautiful machines. Thanks for making me feel like less of a dummy. :)

You got it!
Excellent. I got the machine a few months ago and thought I was smart enough to figure it out without a tutorial (I had previously owned a White's Electronics). But, alas, I'm not that smart. So, this tutorial was exactly what I needed. I knew the technology but not the machine. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

Thanks Ray, good luck with it.
I purchased the Equinox 600 as it was recommended as a affordable option for beginners as its versatility and is completely water proof up to 16 feet of water because I want to be able to beach detect. So far I love this detector, I went detecting out in the dried up lake in my back yard and have found mostly junk and a few coins from the 1970s, so far nothing great yet. Hopefully some day. Im excited to get to the beach soon. Thank you so much for the video.

Hello Iffy Signals. The first thing I did after ordering my Nox 600 was watch videos such as yours and reading any info on metal detecting forums. After receiving my Nox, I took a picture of the quick reference pamphlet (included with detector) with my phone. This way I was able to refer to it when I needed to when out in the field. Don’t let this machine intimidate you. It doesn’t take long to get the hang of it. Keep up the great vids. _/

Great vid for beginners like me, lot explained , thank you Luis,
2 weeks I’ve have Nox 800. Watched like 40 vids. This has been the simplest and most helpful. People so often just scroll through the controls as if the complete rookie even knows the words that are being said. Even in my own professional work setting, I try to talk as though the lay person has never heard the words I’m saying.

Hey Jerry, thanks allot. Sometimes when i’m making the comparisons I get questions like “is it easy to use”? Or the last one which prompted the video was how the Equinox was to complicated but the Vanquish was not waterproof. So i figured a simple breakdown would help.
though I had some problem with sea water It also kzread.infoUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

I can't believe what I'm hearing about the equinox. I have the Garrett AT pro, which is amazing, but these features are so much more advanced, which boils down to more knowledge of what's beneath the coil (I think I've only been doing this for two years lol) can't wait to get my equinox 700, I hike/explore a lot and want to be a little stealthy times my Garrett AT pro is too big and really can't conveniently collapse it. Love how the equinox could fit into a backpack. It's all good though. Don't mean to talk negatively about the Garrett ATP....

Yesterday it got to 40 melted some of the snow at the local park. So today my wife and out fury child are going to give it a go. I'm excited like a kid on Christmas day ☺

Hey Jim! 👍 i bounce around 4-6 depending on the site.
Thanks. I too am regretting buying the 800. The threshold is not a real threshold (except in gold mode) but I can't use single frequencies in gold mode (except 20 and 40) and I'm disappointed in the depth compared to my Sovereign. Oh well, it's only money. You did a great job explaining the features and I thought mine was defective until I saw yours blinking while being set up. You would think for that kind of money they would through in some instructions and a charger. With my old Eldorado 35 years ago I could find Indian head Pennys at 7 in. every day in the common in Salem Ma. I think those days are gone.

Iffy Signals hey bud! Yea, that’s all I hunt as well... ghost towns and cellar holes in the woods in western PA. When you get a chance let me know your settings. I always ran the Etrac in 2 tone ferrous and I modified the “Andy S pattern” to my hunting style, it’s the pattern in my avatar. It’s a killer program in the iron. If your looking for a video idea, show us how you run the machine in the woods and go through your settings. If ya want to. Thanks man! Best of luck & HH!
I wish these things were more simple than this. Feels like there’s 100 different settings. I wish it just had something or nothing setting.
