Best video on the 900 I've seen. Just bought one and did my 1st hunt and found a lot of cool stuff at the river. I tend to overthink things so this was a good reassurance.

How do you get around aluminium ring pull cans with the Equinox 900 thx. In Australia.

Thanks mate! I just picked up a lightly used 900 on eBay for $788 and I'm coming from an Xterra Pro so it should be a lie of cake! I'll be post some vids soon on my channel after the unboxing... This thing on has 20 minutes of usage on it... Not kidding! Love the fact that the coils 13/6" are interchangeable with the Xterra Pro as well as the ML85 headset! I've already paid for the Xterra on my finds... this one will take a bit longer😅 P.S. Like on the Xterra Pro... more sensitivity is not always best! In a trashy area it will only mask the good targets! I usually run around 15 to 17 on the sensitivity and find twice as many coins compared to maxing it out.😎

And water proof head phones a must as well.

Just ordered a 900 upgraded from a garrett 300i gonna have some fun testing out I'm garden 1st I think tryingbto get to grips with it. What camera do you film with btw?

Tunes and balances the detector so theres no chatter. Always do it after making any changes

I've recently bought my first detector ( a nox 900 ) and I'm really happy with it. Should last me for quite some time and do everything I need it to . My wife has nox 800 which is also very good .

Looking forward to a tip on how to eliminate false signals on deep iron. Took me 3 years to finally use the 7 method with the 800. Big advantage. So i use the horsehoe method, 10x5 coiltek coil. settings are sensitivity 20, recovery 7, iron bias 7 park 2. Will try field 2 next time out, and ground balance over iron. have nt tried auto ground balance yet. Lots of things to like with the 900. Just gonna have to get my 100 hours in to get in sync w the machine.

I went from the Garrett 300i to the Equinox 900. A big jump but I am loving my ‘nox’. I’m running in the ‘out of the box’ mode and gradually learning how it works. Had some great finds too. As you say, ‘don’t over think it’.

But do not stop digging the numbers of a button as it could be something else ,if it beeps dig it ,ignore numbers

Absolutely! Hammereds seem to come up in all sorts of target ID’s, including buttons!

Just picked the 700 up from Joan Allen this morning. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow!

Not sure to get 900 or 700.want the small coil that comes with 900,time you add that to 700,only £130 in it,is 900 worth the extra ?,thanks

Hi Steve its not only the extra coil you get. The 900 got some extra features as well. More sensitivity for instance and some more. Check the online manual to see the differences… 👍 In my opinion it is worth the extra money , and go for the 900 💪🏼

Lower frequencies will get deeper targets. Best just to leave it on multi

Love your videos man! Been a struggle for me transitioning from at max (only had 40 or so hours of experience with it but I felt very confident) to the 900. This helped!

Is the housing completely upgraded from the 800 (waterproofing)

"worst enemy is iron" he says....i dunno about the rest of you guys but pulltabs, bottle caps, foil, and can slaw are my worst detecting enemies.

they're only going to learn it by digging it aren't they Kris 👍too many people get a machine like that or the 800 and fiddle with settings they've seen on youtube with great finds and then they don't know what to do. swing it, dig it, learn it and soon you will be in charge of the power stick 👍

Yeah, what you said about over thinking it , Ahhhh what was the question ? I have made a decision about my first metal detector based on my financial status ( poor old buggar ) I decided on a MineLab EX-TERRA PRO as it has everything a lot of the MineLab range has without the hefty price tag and a piece of cake to use for a total novice as myself will enjoy and with people like you Kris in the field who I can learn new stuff for the want of a better word.
