If you want to buy a player version probably XL. Stay with L only if you're slim fit like football players.

From the player version, you can also go 3XL if you want, they are a bit slimmer.

Usually, the difference between sizes is not that big. But there is always a difference. Maybe check out some other videos on my channel, where I measure jerseys to get a better idea.

It also depends on the weight, and how slim he is. But usually size S is good for 164 cm.

I am not sure, if you want it be good also when you get bigger, you might want to go with XL. But if from normal T-shirts you wear M, then L will be okay, i think.
