@@charautreal i did play it i do have the original bedrock edition it just cant update anymore im stuck on the rtx beta version and the new launcher is unusable(cant even launch it), theres so many bugs in bedrock, vsync even with a 165hz monitor just feels bad probably on tripple buffering by default. The only thing bedrock has for itself is that it has a better performance, can load more chunks without it being a stuttery mess but then again most servers/realms dont even have 16 chunks rendering on them so thats kinda useless unless you play on your own server or a single player,+ sodium mod just gets you literally 300% performance on java anyway and you can switch between shaders no need to buy a "rtx" world.

Developer here! We did actually ask Mojang if we could work for them in any way, but they denied our offer.

All Mojang can do is hire these guys and add it to the base game, because this is great!

I'm tierd of hearing, "Mojang is lazy, cause modders can do it faster!" ... Hiring people who make good mods won't chang the fact that there is a *fundamental difference* between developing the broad *vanilla* game that *everyone* plays, and developing a *mod* that only includes a *handful* of features that only a *subset* of the playerbase will chouse to use.

@@agsilverradio2225 Yeah but this is bug fixes and stuff. Also what about QOL mods? Optimisation mods? Why don't they just hire optifine and have them work on the base game? None of it makes sense, Mojang don't develop their stuff fast enough, even mods developed by one singular person makes things much quicker than they do. They either hired the wrong people or there is something wrong with the way the company functions.

​@@That1RandomUserI know at one point optifine was almost purchased by mojang. If I remember correctly it fell through because the optifine team said they wouldn't do it unless mojang included all their features. Mojang refused and the deal fell through.

IT'S A MOD They shouldn't be concerned about taking down a mod when the community has already been making mods for both versions for years. If they do take this down it'll show that they're more worried about making money off of Bedrock mods like they would with the Marketplace. Free mods should exist on both Bedrock and Java, not just Java.

They could quite literally implement Fallout 4's XB/PS modding system, being as Microsoft owns both MC & Bethesda. FO4's mods work great on console & it kills me that people haven't considered something like it for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, because it would be so easy

​@@joelhodoborgas those are add-ons. The difference between an add-on and a mod is that mods modify the original game code, while add-ons add code that's ran secondary by the unmodified code. It's easy to mod Java because it's uncompiled code, but bedrock is compiled. So, there's no mods for bedrock. Until now, at least. Basically they swapped out a compiled executable for RTX and swapped in their own, which works here because they didn't have to decompile Mojang code to try to modify it, which is nearly impossible.

I can confirm, I've Used Better RTX and it is amazing! MADLAD and everyone involved did such an Amazing job, please support them when you get the chance. The amount of effort they're putting into it is amazing!

@@Prevailing_Chaos Nah current devices could run RTX I don't know if at the best refresh rate but they can, we are not talking about a J2 Prime, just that Mojang does not yet enable Ray Tracing for mobiles and consoles but it is known that they are working on it.

Started with super-duper graphics selling with the release of the Xbox X... So pretty obvious this was just the same thing with RTX sales. So not surprised Mojang has left this buggy mess alone.

@@ahmed4363 If you have $200, go looking for 3080's used for mining., thats what I did and it runs perfectly fine, just be sure to test everything and do a 20 min bench test. People list 3080 mining cards for high but will accept low. I actually paid 180 for mine and it came with everything, even the shielding wrap

Man, despite being a mostly purist vanilla player, I've been loving your recent trend toward showcasing the "mods" that individuals have made that directly attack major inconveniences that bedrock player face. It's like seeing a bug fix before Microsoft finally makes it happen 10 years from now...

Love the jabs at Mojang and Nvidia, bigger corporations need to do more than what’s being done. Video game companies, and some other industries are feeling more like a broken monopoly.

I just now installed it and I can't recommend it enough. It really makes a huge difference and it makes the RTX experience so much better.

I was so excited for raytracing in Minecraft. I play on console, when they originally announced it for last gen I was so hyped, then they let it die, but when new gen having raytracing I was hoping they’d fix it up for new gen… but here we are without even having a dedicated new gen version… they need to quit adding new garbage and fix what’s broken. Of course they’d care about suing people who are doing their job for them

And they had to add RenderDragon to mess up the rest of the game...

Something I would like is the ability to somehow disable or change some of the new features this adds somehow like the water ripples or instead of the rain puddles just have blocks exposed to rain look more wet, like instead of patches of puddles having certain areas look wet it's everything, change the sun to look like the vanilla sun, change the sun angle, or bring back the old shadows if you want to. Or even if you want disable all the enhancements and just keep all the bug fixes

Wow, just wow. Some of the panning shots you had in there were reminiscent of some AAA-game trailers in terms of reflection and shadow, just with Minecraft assets as the base (and no small number of those trailers were pre-rendered or downgraded before launch). Impressive af.

What rtx resource pack was used in this video alongside the BetterRTX? Because alot of the resource packs i've tried make the every block shiny, even grass and wood. Is that some setting or what resource packs don't do that?

I have been using this mod since its day one release and i can say without a shadow of a doubt this is hands down the best thing to have come to rtx and just bedrock as a whole. The angle of the sun alone being chaged makes natural terrain look soo much better (one if my biggest gripes being Rtx only looked good in certain places). I can't stop playing in rtx now and as a bedrock user i couldn't be happier. (Now give us dual wielding 😭)

i got a question, what happen to bedrock controls? i mean like i use an xbox 360 controller to play games its always plug in and i sometimes use the mouse for aiming and placing/breaking blocks but now its bugged out when the controller is plug into my pc, the breaking button rarely wanna trigger and when it does it stays triggered even when im not clicking it or holding it down, its the same for placing blocks. it gets fixed once i unplug my controller, this wasn't happening before

Actually built my cathedral to try and have some fun with RTX. I liked the results but even just that 2 seconds shown with better RTX is so much better than anything I saw before.

Ik that the devs at mojang are working hard but i dont understand why they dont just contact people who do this kind of thing and see if they can buy it off of them? Someone made a fix for your game, why not just pay them for it, instead of paying one of your employees. itd take a task off their plate and probably be the same cost wise

I wish mojang would actually focus on updating things people want like ray tracing on bedrock (pc consoles) than things like cherry blossom trees that are cool but not a must have for the game in its current state

Yup you're right. I wouldn't even be mad if they focus an entire update just for fixing bugs.

Another "bug" is the fact that the option to turn on RTX is not usable on next gen consoles, that were specifically made to be able to use RTX.

Nvm found it version this modpack is 1.19.2 fabric it took hour to find compatible 🧐😭 only one thing is where to find datapack options? Cannot find it when essential install or it just automatic?

My device doesnt support ray tracing, and they removed user made shaders 😢

One thing I'd love to see on an RTX mod in the future is making the top of grass blocks look more gritty. Every RTX texture pack/mod I've tried makes the top of grass blocks look too polished and flat.

Have you tried Kelly's RTX with the preset? I think it's doing a great job. If you want more of that I think you need the paid version

Questions if anyone is willing to answer. Performance wise is this better? Also if I use things like glowing ores from defined pbr will it still work here? Also candles, how are they doing here? OH, also with things like the sun, can we change it to be centered again? (Need to know what time of day it is lol)

Is there any way to get rtx on ps5 yet?

Honestly, what's even worse than the monolithic pace Mojang has been moving at to modernize Minecraft, is the lack of animated world elements. Why do I need packs and mods to have moving dynamic elements like moving trees, grass, rippling water etc. so the world doesn't seem so lifeless and dead / boring? The game is an absolute dinosaur here in 2024 with so little innovation, it's appalling.

I have to wonder if they only did RTX because of Nvidia doing a collaboration with them. They might be waiting for the deal to end and quietly cancel the feature, or make something that can actually run on things that aren't called Nvidia.

Is this the first actual mod for mc bedrock cuz i have never seen anything that changes the source code on bedrock unlike java

It’s actually embarrassing how much modders can get done vs the actual dev team. And it doesn’t just apply to Minecraft, it’s every game that has mods. It makes ya think, we must be missing something here if we are making some people millionaires and billionaires when the best content comes from someone we don’t even pay.

My only questions is will this being added disable achievements in my worlds? If so I may hold off.

this is a client mod, as long as you are on pc you can use it, and use it on any world/realm/server you want:)

Still can't see our own shadow in first person view :(

Now all we need is true renderdragon rasterisation shaders for all the iOS/android peeps and we on bedrock chilling.

Does this mean that builds that rely on the position of the sun or moon will get ruined due to the off-set position?

this is why i stopped getting excited for new updates, mojang only cares about pleasing 9 year olds with bland content that has no impact on gameplay and gets stale after a week instead of fixing long standing issues with the game

i wonder how this will affect lebrons legacy?

I complained few days ago... maby a week or two ago, that light in minecraft was dumbly unreal... even with rtx... i did not experienced any of rtx in my personal minecraft experience... but i saw videos of minecraft youtubers using it... it was disgusting, blindly light or deep dark shadow... without any middle lighting surfaces... no place for matt lid surface lighting physic (no matter how much wet a sponge is, you should never see the reflexion of the glow of the sun on it, but wet cobblestone and wet wood should give some reflexion)... you get blinded by the direct light or first reflexion of light on any material (no matter of it matness)... then you get blinded by infinit darkness of the 3rd shadow... ...worst than if they did not using rtx... i bet that if 2 guys in 2 different counteries invented the light bulb with 25 days between the release of theit "brevet pattent licence", without any kind of cheating or copying/spying... i guess i m not the only one who complain/compare the physic of light in minecraft compared to real light physic... leading to a remodelling of its desing... i hope they took in consideration that a lid surface is a dim modified source of light... or something like that... (light source collor & intensity modified by the collor & mattness of the block that it lid equal that block shinyness and its ability to lid the surrounding blocs that are not directly touched by that light source)... but i guess that the true matemaitcal function would make any cpu burst in flame to even calculate the lighting of 5 random blocs in a empty void..

@@silentwisperer Some people have speculated that its not on console because of some brand deal with Nvidia but when it barely works on PC then there is no way Nvidia would be happy with that if they had a deal, but the one major sign of it coming to consoles is if it finally gets fixed on PC.
