Back in the Xbox 360 days, a clone called CastleMiner existed... I think it was made before the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft came out but I could be wrong. Definitely not as refined as the real thing.

This sounds very interesting from what i have looked into, there are 3 versions of castleminer that ive seen. Castleminer(original)which was a Xbox Live Indie Game which is no longer available, Castleminer Z, and castleminer warfare which are actually on steam. I might make a video on this later if im able find a playable copy of the original castleminer since the teaser from the official castleminer yt channel shows it being more like minecraft. Like you said it even came out 9 months before minecraft xbox 360. Thx for the info on this, well appreciated.
