If someone kills your entire family but then is released because they got better how would you feel? It's a hard line to walk since you may hurt the victims by doing it.

You've hit the nail on the head. The best prison is called a zoo, and the reason it works is simple, the prisoners don't realize they're trapped. By building a prison big enough and allowing people to do most things now under strict friendly supervision, most if not all won't leave, as there's no point.

sometimes zoo are good (like if the original habitat is on fire idk) but thats RARE.

I like that the original inescapable prison, built by Sam (Pandora's Vault) was supposed to be like this, but Dream, just like the other prison builders, wanted an inhumane prison only for security. You carried on Sam's design in insane ways, while still keeping the security. The exterior design is incredible as well. This.. no matter what, is the best prison that will ever exist.

I’ve always wanted to see a prison like this that doesn’t just keep a prisoner trapped in a secure box until the end of time, and this prison was probably the best I’ve seen in MC. I love how the cell interior actually looks good and the inmate gets a tiny bit of freedom at least. Kudos

I love how many people have been creating prisons like Sam on the SMP.

Lore for Mythrodak: Kenadian is Mythrodak's last friend, and is hunted down as a result. He pleads for his life, in return he will create a prison that will Rehabite Mythrodak, instead of contain him. SeenSven, doubtful, accepts and brings Mythrodak to this prison. This is Mythrodak's last chance. Will he try to escape? Or is he willing to accept his life sentence?

every norwegian be like: how did it take you this long to realize rehabilitation was *maybe* a good idea (seriously look up Norwegian prisons, we too aim for rehabilitating people)

first we had old prisons with basic bars and that were kinda easy to escape but humane, then we had inhumane prisons that were hard to escape, and now we’re combining the ideas.

You know if Dream hired Sam to make the prison like this he would be a lot happier not gonna lie.

this prison is much more relaxed than restrictive, kinda works in its favor as the other prisons were hampered by their tight knit security. Not to mention, this seems pretty impossible to smuggle items in. Idk how someone/anyone will escape

If Dream got put into this prison, he'd never want to get out. Minecraft prisons have become their own category at this point, they should have a place in the MC fandom somewhere.

The biggest actual flaw in every other prison is that their horribly inhumane environment creates a will in prisoners to escape. That's why many other European countries' prisons work. They are really humane (most of the time, at least) and have good conditions, which make prisoners not want to escape. Your idea of making a humane Minecraft prison was absolutely *Brilliant!*

This method is used in Norway's prisons. Nice job replicating that.

Since this is from 5 months ago, this is pre-SeaWatt.

All of these prisons have one big weakness. The player inside the prison can just log off and never log back in.

Literally all of the other ones are technically jails, this is the first prison.

I already found an exploit while watching this for the first time, it involves the mailman's stasic chambers, a floating ender pearl eill bear the name of the player who chooses it, but if the original person who threw it changes their name it wont apply to them anymore and someome can change to the name of the person who threw it and once it lands that person will be teleported, so all someone has to do is read the mailman's name tag and if possible switch to his/her name if the mailman switches their own name before they activate the stasis chamber that still applies to the mailman's former name

Holy, this is just amazing!

One flaw in every prison: The guards are human. All it takes is one to miss their shift, have something come up, oversleep, etc. and then you can mount an escape...with some effort. Or just use freecam hacks and kill the elder guardians lmao

They always say the best way to keep a prisoner from escaping is for them to never know they are imprisoned in the first place.

I like that, because Pandora's Vault was supposed to offer humane conditions for the prisoner, until Dream decided to make said conditions awful, because it was for Tommy... So in a way you have joined back the original spirit of the prison that began everything.

This man. It shows us that Minecraft isn't just a block game. It's a way to make statements, and knowing that you can learn a lot from the game, makes a nerd like me hella proud that i play it.
