Absolutely amazing video dude!! Its soo easy to follow and your spoken really well it super easy to understand. The farm works fantastically in 1.20.1 and produces villagers so freaking fast

To be honest, considering how small your channel is compared to other channels that make tutorials like this, you definitely make the best tutorials. Descriptive commentary in what to do, clear step by step instructions and an aesthetically pleasing video overall. And not to mention you make tutorials for the most efficient farms as well so I can always count on you. Keep up the great work!

Just built this in 1.19.2 and it works amazing still, been using your farms for my HC world and they are the best

I made this and only had 2 villagers, so I put them in the bottom layer and 20 min later or something I had 3 baby villagers and another just spawned. Don't think I even need the other 2 layers haha. Thanks :)

@@mezza3890 yo make sure the lever is flipped because it will not create a villager if it is not flipped and also make sure they are both farmers

if it doesnt work for you, check the orientaion of the beds... somehow it directly effects the breeding

IF YOU ARE ON BEDROCK-- The villager collection system WILL NOT WORK. However, breeding is still active, you will just need to escort them out by rail one by one, leaving a couple to restart the cycle. I placed double beds on both sides with the non-working collection system and have produced 20+ within an hour.

In some servers (in my case 2b2t) because the way the chunks load you might find into a situation in which the villagers can reach the bed. That happens if the glass walls are at the chunk border. Making a full row of ceiling trapdoors instead of a single one seemed to fix the issue to me. Also, if the villagers keep losing their job (again, in my server that is happening) you can use sticky pistons to move the composters back and forward every night using the same system to turn on/off the breeder, but instead of having it enabled by a lever, use a sun detector.

When I need a farm, I'm running straight to you xD

@ just know that it works fine in java but in bedrock the babies have different pathfinding so the farm will produce lots but they wont end up in the capturer thing at the bottom

Hey id like to elaborate on your design because it only has one flaw and that's getting the villagers out. So basically you wanna dig out one of your corners in the box where the villagers go It doesn't matter, and in side the box you wanna dig one more down and leave the opposite corner one block higher than the rest of the box and put a water source block. This will funnel all the villagers into one corner. Then build tracks in the corner you dug out and it should pull one villager out through the walls.

How long does it take for the baby to fall in the whole with the water in it

WORKS like a charm on Minecraft Java 1.20.4 (although I only did the first layer). So, do we really need redstones to build this farm? Yeah. I scrolled down comments and found a plausible answer by "chiller99" about the Minecraft logic between that lever + those pistons and the mating of villagers: "The pistons block the beds when extended which makes the villagers think there are no beds nearby which then turns the farm off by stopping breeding." Now, the real question: how to get those new villagers out neatly.

Id do it 100 blocks away so the workstations and beds don't overlap, it makes it harder so that's what I did

Ohhh well that would explain a lot.

I just finished building this underground, and can confirm that it does indeed work. I just had to add a few extra torches, and another modification I made was to add fences around the composters at head height only so that the villagers would stop composting the carrots, but still collected them and could "access" their workstation. Also, I am on java just in case anyone is wondering.

Thank you so much! I'm from Brazil. This breeder exceeded my expectations, it definitely worth it! In little time a lot of villagers were generated. The only change I made and I recommend everyone doing it is make a water current to take the baby villagers far from the breeder, I think it increased the efficiency of it, because when there is a lot of villagers near to the breeder, they "stop" reproducing.

I'm really struggling to get this working, the villagers start to breed but I get the negative particles every time. I've swapped out villagers, replaced the work stations and made sure there's still a 2 block gap above the beds but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help?

it did not work for me either but then i just swapped the pistons with sticky pistons

I have a little problem, I'm playing in superflat and don't have access to sand (for glass). I do however, have slime blocks and fences would these be good replacements? What are some other alternatives?

would it work without the redstone lamp? i need 1 more diamond to make a diamond pick in my HC world so i dont have access to the nether and would like to have this running while i mine

What does turning it on do exactly? Like what are the pistons for?

The pistons block the path to beds. Villagers who don't have a path to beds can't breed. When the farm is activated (Light on), this means the pistons are disabled and they can breed. If the farm is deactivated (light off) the pistons are activated and are blocking the path.

Hello, nice tutorial. Good explanations and everything I would've appreciated if you had taken the effort to explain to a smaller brained person like me why exactly this works. I only imagine that baby villagers open the trapdoors and adult villagers inside the farming sections get stuck? Do they path through the trapdoors cause there is a village simulated with the beds? I have a blunt grasp, but I'd like to understand it incase something goes wrong in my survival world. Ty for your time

It basically works like villagers breed with each other and then the baby villagers goes to the hole and there you have yourself a new villager

Basically, trapdoors count as normal blocks to villagers, meaning that even if it is open and they can fall through it, the villagers register it as a normal block and they try to walk on it however since its open they will fall through, and since in the way of the trapdoors there is another trapdoor placed on the ceiling, adult villagers are too big to get through, therefore only the baby villagers can get through. However i have no idea what or how the piston works

@@YahYuh i guess the piston "closes" the view for the villagers, that they dont recognice the beds as a village since there now is no air there and so stop breeding. But not sure exactly

somehow the babyvillager get stuck in the farming area, any ideas how to prevent that?

when you turn the farm off the pistons push out making the villagers not able to see the beds so therefore the farm cannot activate, hope this helps

yes they do, when the piston is on it blocks the trapdoor making villagers understand there aren't any beds (without beds they won't breed)

I found a fix to make it work in 1.20, remove one of the composters per level. They should breed normally. Edit: i fucked up, theres nothing to fix. You really just have to wait for the farmers to get their inventories full for it to work really well. If you want to try and test if all layers work, first turn off the farm for a few days to let the farmers keep harvesting and collecting food without breeding and then just turn it on. Youll probably see all holes working at once.

It needs to be far from a normal village right?

My villagers seem to only breed to a fixed amount of villagers. How can I fix this? I'm on Bedrock 1.19.63

Pro tip: don’t use potatoes because you don’t want the poison variety taking up a villager inventory slot 👍

Hello, i built the farm all correctly and i did everything exactly as you did in the video, however the villagers sometimes get in the bed and sleep at night, causing them to get stuck in the bed chamber, does anyone know any fix for it?

@@ashxyn8981 Ive chosen to ignore the problem, i have about 60 villagers already produced which is wayy more than enough, this farm produced a lot of villagers, i recommend fixing the villagers, and by the time it breaks again you would have probably already produced more villagers fhan needed

For those who are playing 1.19.4 and it doesn't work, Trade the villagers first then it should work

I've followed the guide and they fall down perfectly, have 38 + 10 villagers atm, two floors of the breeder. Works amazingly. Never had the issue of villagers entering the bed area either like some reported on. The pistons and Lever is to turn the breeding on/off. When the lava lamp is turned on the breeder is on. Your error might be because of the trap doors not placed correctly and the redstone being wrong along with that.
